The Shed Skatepark reviews
36 Great place wonderful experience for my son and friends.
Very helpful on first visit.
Be back soon
My 5yr old daughter joined a scooter lesson yesterday because it was the first time she comes to indoor skatepark.
And it was FANTASTIC! She was scared to ride down ramps for first 10mins, then she started enjoying riding up and down.
The coach was so kind and nice to her. She learnt how to ride safely and she loved his lesson.
Highly recommended!
I took my almost 6yo here for the first time today. I wasn't expecting much and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The pricing for a lesson Inc. Scooter hire was very reasonable.
We had a lesson today with Ben and he was amazing with my daughter, who had no previous experience of ramps. He instructed her enough to build her confidence to actually go down a range of different ramps, he followed her lead when she wanted to explore the course at her own speed and he didn't push her too hard when she was too scared to try certain big ramps. She had an amazing first experience of riding down ramps because of Ben's guidance. Very happy customer. 5stars
Epic, 8 year old loved the Sat morning lesson and then the session after. Was not to busy. Didn’t want to leave.
Good place for riders.
So so environment for parents and observers. A bit noisy.
Free wi-fi is good.
World class venue that caters to all ages and skill levels. It's so good having a facility of this standard indoors enabling skating year round. Highly recommend!
I've only been here twice and it's the best indoor skate park I've been to. The first time I went here I landed my best trick and I came back about a year later and landed my best trick again! Great quality ramps and good for beginners and pros.
Great place to take the kids with their bmx or skateboard, they will have a great time. Tony Hawk actually designed this it's amazing.my kids loved it.
I love it here, the surface is slippery in comparison to concrete skateparks so I would be swapping your wheels out for something a bit more suitable for the surface but the surface is much more forgiving for falls than concrete you just slide out of the impact which is nice.
The mini ramp in the corner is awesome because it has a side rail and a wall for additional balancing support for complicated coping tricks.
The bowl is an awesome height, the vert is awesome, the mini ramp located towards the vert gives you a bit more seconds of thought between each ramp. The runs are great. It's overall a great place, oh and the guy who works most day shifts makes a great coffee and is nice and honest about everything. The guy with the Mo who is a skateboarder is also great he helped me with some new bearings.
Only complaint would be sometimes the playlist choices of music can be quiet frankly.boring. Need aggressive high tempo songs. Especially for the night sessions which have more adults.
This used to be the best skatepark in Australia hands down. I skated here like it was church in the 90s and early 2000s, went for the first time in 18 years and it is way too crowded with equipment there's no long street section for skating and the smaller sections are too small and narrow. Floors need cleaning and repairing, not worth 15 bucks. Good for scooter kids and BMX.
Awesome indoor skatepark much love for this place, been riding here since the open and it’s 100% the best skatepark in Australia.
Not to mention AMAZING staff love everything they do down there, lovely coffee and food, really helpful with anything you need
I've taken my younger cousin here a few times and she absolutely loves it, I will definitely be taking her here more especially over winter as it's inside. The staff are so nice and the place is always so clean and tidy. The shop is perfect for Christmas and birthday presents too!
Might be good for bikes and scooters but ramps material is extremely slippery for skateboarding.
Have been twice and fallen hard multiple times from board slipping out from under me.
17 years skating and had never hit my head untill skating here the other day.
Probably why you have to wear helmets because ground is garunteed to make you fall.
Just go ice skating instead you'll get more traction
Kids love it, parent spaces are good too. Tons of really good kids to learn from. Good spaces for all scooter needs
My son absolutley loves it here! The staff are absolutley exceptional and were so nice when my son needed some griptape for his scooter. The ramps and street section seem very fun to ride and my son was very tired after it! 5 Stars!
Great facility and friendly staff but not capping the maximum people at one time can make it a Zoo on the course on busy days.
Great place for kids to scoot, skate or ride.
Got all expertise to make skateboards and have a great range of skateboards and related products.
Lessons also available.
Entry fees do apply for 2 hour block sessions.
Awesome skating facilities
Awesome staff very helpful great coffee
Awesome teachers in skating lessons
Highly recommend
The Shed has forever been a place to call home for many Melbourne skaters.
Highlights:
The air bag - learning big airs or flips.this is a must.
Resi tabletop - the obvious next step from the air bag.
Street/park sections - modern design in the advanced section mimicking current skateboarding competition sections.
Not so good:
Beginners spill into the more advanced sections due to a lack of variety for them.
The staff do nothing to monitor the users of the park to keep people safe.
They definitely overfill the venue, again reducing the safety and increasing frustration.

It's a solid park with a decent bowl and a big ol' vert ramp which I hadn't mentioned yet but unless you manage to get there at a quiet time you'll find a lot of frustration with how few things there is to skate and how cramped it can feel.
Have been here three times, my son loves it.
This place is huge, modern, clean and well maintained. Staff are very friendly, encouraging and helpful. Thankyou to Brent for finding my sons lost jumper.
