The See Yup temple reviews
21It's a perfect place to pray for blessings, pray Tai Sui (太歲), Chau Chim (抽籤) and ask the temple manager to explain it. You can buy incense 香,joss paper for Bak Gai 百解,太歲 etc.for a donation amounts specified by the temple.
Well maintained herritage of the Southern people. Thanks for keeping the faith for some to find their roots.
The spiritual vibe draws me to this temple. I make time to visit every time I’m in Melbourne.
I believed in this place for over 30 years.love, caring and peace.almost go for every Chinese new year.especially because the people working there top nice and make you feel caring.
Quiet temple during the weekday. But a bit confused if I wanna buy I sent $5. Was not sure where to put the two candles.
A tranquil garden right in front of the shrine, peaceful place to visit and to be taken care of together
The temple reminded me of the Chinese heritage that came in the gold rush. Beautiful architecture and intricate carvings awaits you inside.
Was in the area and decided to visit this Taoist temple. You enter a peaceful front courtyard before coming to the front entrance.
It was very smoky inside due to the incense sticks that are offered to the various deities located in various parts of the temple.
Please be aware that photography is not allowed inside the building.
You will be able to access the temple via 2 streets.
Place of worship for people who worship the Lord Guan Yu, the symbol of valour, loyalty. Symbolise war and Wealth. Common for people who own a business.
Can be quite smoky and eye watering during major celebrations like weeks before Chinese New Year and weeks after Chinese New Year. Also during Lord Guan's birthday.
The temple also host other Gods like Bodhisattva Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) on the left wing.
The temple also host one of the oldest Dragon head used in Dragon dance in Melbourne.
Went there since I was a little kid. Always pray at the temple when I face difficult situations. They always blessed me. Really appreciate the temple.
The graphics on that yoshi were really sub par, I think it would be better with fried chicken.perhaps a sewer level.daniel day lewis didn;t give a.very performance as joker batman.i hope they fix these issues in see yup temple 2 in space! I am now a fan of these series.
This is a very old Chinese temple, hiding in South Melbourne. For people from Asian countries you are recommended to visit this temple
165 year's old Chinese temple. We come and make our new year offering here every Chinese New Year
Great little temple, believe it was the first in Melbourne. It is small and can get very crowded inside during the spring festival, this means lots of smoke from the incense that can sting your eyes.
Don't go on Chinese new year, too many people also, the smoke from all the incenses can make u tear up if u aren't use to it.
A historical building and a great place for worshipping and relaxation. Ive been coming to this temple during my childhood years with family till up today as an adult and honestly there's something about this temple that draws me to using the ancient warrior guan gong's fortune sticks each time I'm there. Also, theres Alot of parking space available.
Very rare traditional Chinese temple in Melbourne. But sits in a building more to old Australian house. Staff there were very helpful. Worth a visit.
A temple with loads of history, worth visit to understand ancient Chinese religions and believes that is still continuing till this day.
Hidden historic gem in South Melbourne. Well worth a visit for Melbournians and visitor's alike.
Beatiful garden fronting Raglan Street.
Especially good to visit during Chinese New YearYear celebrations.
