A very welcoming atmosphere, great camaraderie and the training methods were very scientifically sound yet enjoyable!
The atmosphere at this gym is awesome. I absolutely love going here to train with some excellent trainers - especially James - who come up with new ways to challenge me. There’s a really fun vibe among the community of people who go here. Love it.
Joined 'The Richmond Gym' during my off season just after I had torn my hamstring and ever since, these guys have taken great care of me!
Absolutely loved the place and the workouts. James keeps the atmosphere fun with his quiet dad jokes and easy nature. Trained with Ash a couple of times and loved our conversations about fitness.
Finally, not to forget their support during lockdown. They helped me stay fit all through lockdown with continuous support.
Highly recommend this place to all!
Super cool gym. Owners work with you all the time, and they're very knowledgeable, backed by science. Great team, and good programs to keep you going.
The best gym/community I've ever been apart of. James and Ash genuinely care about you the individual and do all they can to share their knowledge/experience. Their strength and conditioning programs are founded in science and with purpose (so rare). Since joining the TRG 3 years ago, I've lost 25kg and gained more strength and movement than ever before. I'm sad to have moved away from them!
I have been going to The Richmond Gym for 4 years. They’re training program is the best. I’ve seen my strength and fitness improve exponentially with them. James and Ash are really dedicated trainers who put challenging programs together, but also cater to individual needs in the class. If I wasn’t moving countries I’d still be there 6 days a week!
Supportive, knowledgeable and personally interested in positive progress to your individual goals. I knew from the outset that I was in good hands. Best gym I have ever experienced.

I like the effort that the instructors make into creating this community feeling. You are introduced to the other members like friends do.
There is also a focus on tracking your progress and getting results.

I love The Richmond Gym, the trainers, the other members, the whole little community that they have built! It’s a safe and welcoming space for anyone to join and all sessions and classes are tailored to your specific goals and experience. Would highly highly recommend if you’re in Richmond area and even if you’re not, it’s worth traveling to!
James, Ash & Jeremy put in so much effort to tailor the classes to anything you’re struggling with and always keep an eye on your form, helping to correct you when needed.
The classes are the perfect length and variety so you never get bored of doing the same thing! Real community vibe and great people.

The Team and The Richmond Gym are supportive and fun. A great place to train with a friendly and welcoming community. The coaches offered helpful tips on technique and form and each session was different which meant that it was never repetitive.
This is not your regular gym. This is a community! I've had gym memberships for many years because.well we all want to work on that summer body right. But I always ended up not going as I just couldn't handle the typical gym vibe, the look-at-myself-in-the-mirror types, the rows of machines and personal trainers who were somehow always more interested in the girls, than actually helping me. But then there was The Richmond Gym (TRG). These guys have changed it all for me. I might sound like a fan boy, and that's because I am. Ash and James have truly built a fitness community. From the moment you walk in you feel it's a good place. There is always a great vibe, they are genuinely interested in all their members, they know you and your injuries and they play great tunes (although James could work on his taste of music). Oh and most important: their programs are amazing. Wether you want to work on your strength, condition or what else.there is a program for you. Everything gets explained in detail. Classes are small and therefore they can really help you with your technique. And if your technique is off, they won't ignore that. They'll help you before putting on more weight. Honestly, check these guys out. You'll love it!

I highly recommend you see these guys! James and Ash are very knowledgable and will cater to any existing injuries to help you work towards your goals. The styles of the classes range from strength, conditioning, functional and even some strongman stuff!
