YUM!
I love this place for dine-in and take-away.
Their Green Curry is one of the best in town and love the tofu + vege + cashew stir-fry. The curries in general are really very good, flavoursome and satisfying.
The service is great. The girls are so sweet and cute and very helpful. We even had a great conversation with one staff member about growing up in Thailand and the contents of her school lunchbox, which sounded delicious.
Highly recommended!
Yummy authentic thai food. Friendly staff, must try their yum woon sen seafood, pad see ew and thai milk tea!
Really fresh and fragrant ingredients. Love how they use a lot of vegetables- most places give you hardly any variety and are always stingy with the greens. The pad Thai wasn’t very good. Noodles were the instant kind that dry out and stick together. Also not much flavour. The massaman was also unimpressive- too sweet and not thick enough. I really like the Penang curry and the stir fries! Perfect spicy and perfectly cooked. So there are certainly some good options on the menu and considering they are new I’m sure they will have plenty of time for improvement.
Looking at all other positive reviews, I am assuming most customers ordered the usual, normal, simple street food from the menu ie: fried rice, fried noodle, pad Thai etc.hence it was good. The service was good. The waitress was very attentive however the food was only average. Portion was small, the serving plate is the size of half a palm size. We ordered Red duck curry, stir fry chicken with vegetables, deep fried barramundi in tamarind sauce, and prawns in tamarind and some coconut nice. The nicest one here is surprising the most simple dish which is the stir fry chicken w veg. Was very disappointed with the fish. The fishy smell was too strong despite being deep fried! Being Asian where fish is my daily diet, even I can’t handle it! I am guessing, it would have help a little if they have slightly more sauce or spices on the fish to eliminate the fishy odour but the sauce was too little to cover and we couldn’t go through this fish after the second bite. The prawn is done very simple. Pan fried with tamarind/fish sauce over it. It’s only ok. The red duck curry is mild, quite watery and lack spices. I may go back but only for simple stuff like fried noodles and rice. Definitely not ordering dishes again.
Average Thai food. Small portions and the curry and the noodles pad Thai were more sweet than normal Thai food.
Loooove! The food is amazing and its service is really nice. The Pad Thai is like the ones in the street of Thai.
We just had takeaway delivered from this brand new restaurant. Full of flavour and fresh. It is great to have great Thai food in South Yarra at last.
