The Rice Cooker

I had a fast food meal with a friend. Overall, it was pretty good. The seafood curry noodles tasted good. My friend ordered Hainanese chicken rice and a portion of fried rice, which were pretty good.

Good variety of choice.but my fave is the Renkon chips & wonton noodle soup! So yum! Only lacking a bit in outdoor seating options

Good service in a busy restaurant with nice Malay / Indo dishes but probably slightly more expensive than it should be. Kudos to the staff who manage it very tightly

Great char kway teow with flavours on point and good portions cooked like we remember and love. Conveniently near the RWH and utterly delish.

Had an amazing Nasi goreng at this restaurant. The staff is very nice and the place is lovely.

Fantastic place for a quick feed. I had the har mee (Malaysian prawn noodles dish) a change from the usual laksa. Broth was well balanced but the prawn was tasteless. Will be back to try other dishes on the menu. Great and fast customer service.

I eat here once a week when I visit Melbourne, and the food is amazing every single time! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Singapore noddles and the popcorn chicken are my absolute faves!

Lamb curry with rice, it’s tasty. Although it’s a busy cafe, its service is very quick and efficient. Next time gonna try its fried rice~

Easy and convenient place for a lunchtime feed. $16 fried rice or noodles. Decent portions. Get there earlier though, this place fills up quick with the hospital and university crowd.

The char keay teow was very good. The fried chicken ribs with mayo was ok.

Overall it's good value and the place wasn't too busy when we went on a Friday evening

Fabulously fresh and deliciously cooked Asian dishes. Can’t recommend this lovely restaurant enough. All the sushi options are divine also. Volcano and Spider rolls probably our favourite.along with the lobak!

I love this place.a mix of all the classic asian favourites on one menu. Eat in or takeaway never lets me down

I’m impressed. As a Malaysian I think the food we ordered is pretty spot on. Reasonably priced, good service and a well thought of menu to cater for everyone. I ordered the char koey teow with extra wok hei. Loved it! All was missing is the cockles. Hor fun was good. Egg gravy was just like back home. Would be back to try the rest of their menu as well. Overall 8/10.

We just left this great restaurant. The flavour of the RC 3R chicken still tingling my mouth. I'm not from Melbourne, but I know delicious when delicious is.

Love The Rice Cooker! It's my favourite restaurant to go to when I'm in the area. Used to work nearby and no longer do - really miss the food. Every dish I've had has been excellent. Great for a quick lunch or a group outing. Highly recommend!

Came here on Saturday night while we visited Melbourne for the F1. Really enjoyed the food, very tasty and flavoursome. Great price and friendly staff too.
