Highly recommend this great family owned business! I’ve made 3 separate purchases and the shipping to California was quick and hassle free. They are very responsive via both email and Instagram. I had some questions about the size of an item (a more unusual piece) and they were able to compare to another bag I was more familiar with. Some advice for people who are selling and don’t live in Melbourne (therefore meaning you’d be shipping your goods to their store).

Make sure you pack your goods super tight so they don’t move an inch. I shipped my Chanel bag in a box that was a bit big for it, when my bag arrived in their Melb store, it seemed to gain some tiny dents from the bag leaning on the bag chain as the parcel itself would have been handled without any care unfortunately.

However the team were happy to help buff out the tiny dents and were super supportive and helpful throughout the entire unfortunate event.

Can’t thank them enough and would recommend the selling experience to everyone attempting to sell a luxury item.

I back this business to the hilt and after the most comprehensive forensic analysis of comparing the process, the fees and return on investment as a buyer and seller- purse affair leads the market in this sector. They are the experts, and you wont be let down. They are honest with expectations, so if you are being unrealistic, maybe try to hear what theyre saying. Sometimes you do need to wait 6 months because your item is not in demand or trending- so be, realistic. Sometimes items sell within a, day. They work for both buyer and seller with no bias.
I wanted to give five the only tiny thing is I wasnt aware my items had sold before the holiday break and found out later so was paid out 3 weeks later. I know we all want holiday breaks but the nature of the customer is driven so these days updated communication 24/7/365 is an expectation. I know all too well with the demands in ultraluxury industry. Anyway, make your decision and base it on the fact that their fees are worth every cent. Purse affair is impeccable and gracious and they know their stuff

I am not a person who usually buys through consignment but The Purse Affair is the exception! Very clear photos of products and are very true to their ratings of the conditions of their bags! I've bought from them twice and both purchases were packaged well and shipped quickly. They also communicate in a very timely manner if you have any questions:) Keep up the great work!

I have consigned a few items with The Purse Affair and they are absolutely wonderful! Very professional, great customer service and they do offer very competitive rates. I have been dealing with Alex mostly and he is very patient and professional! He patiently clarify and answer all my enquiries.

The items they are selling have very accurate description outlining all flaws if any, pictures of the advertised item is also very high in definition. They are very reliable and trustworthy! You can definitely buy/sell with a peace of mind with The Purse Affair, I highly recommend them to anyone!

Did we buy a fake?

Sadly we didn't get one of the positive experiences. Purchased a (rather expensive, at least for me) Louis Vuitton handbag last October for my girlfriend. We later emailed with some queries about authenticity, and have now several times emailed, with no response. I write this at the end of July.

Still not sure if what we've bought is legit or not. I guess now we'll never know - but I'd encourage you to consider this before purchasing from them.

I voted for The purse affair in Melbourne. They are friendly, helpful staff and very responbility. After your consignment sold out, they will payout for the owners very quick compared to an other shop. I will stick with them now, for sure!
