The Penguin Restaurant & Bar reviews
48One of the best goat momos i have had in my life. Overall highly recommend the restaurant. The service was amazing aswell can’t wait to go back.
Awesome welcoming environment Very delicious free goat soup while dine in awaiting time for ordered menu, excellent delicious food & service, momo & chowmen were best in the town, Eager to dine in next time too, wish best of luck to Penguin Restaurant
Goat soup is too good and steam momo is just outstanding. If one wants nepali taste just experience it once and you will not able to disconnect with that.
Very poor service I order the veg chowmein came 20 minute late was out of taste & next order palak paneer it arrive after 1 hour No good at all. Very very bad service
Worse nepali food ever, the people who are cooking has no idea what he is doing and will never order again.
I order momo and chowmein, Momo achar was tasteless and chowmein was very dark (too much soya sauce) and very oily. Definitely not going back again.
We had the worst food on the function yesterday. Entree was a small portion with tasteless momo. Mains was a total disaster: So called pulau was plain rice mixed with truck loads of oil
Mutton curry was like a broth with 90% bones and 10% meat on it. They might have used all the meats for Taas/sekuwa and made the curry out of those left over bones.
Naan were not fresh. They were outta fridge which was over cooked and chewy.
With the price we paid per head, we would have got far better food and more items in other Nepali restaurants.
We 23 people who attended the function would never come back.
Me and my friends (4 in total) went there to have Jhol momo and we couldnt eat. My friend ordered vegie momo and she ate only one piece. We ate palak paneer and butter naan which was just good. I dont think I will be back there again
Food is really delicious and the goat soup was just awesome to warm up in this cold weather.highly recommend.thank you penguin team for the excellent service.
The expectation was high but the reality is disgusting. Had ordered MOMOs take away but momos was uncooked inside, the wrapping design made more disappointed. Aachar was tasteless no test at all.
IF YOU SEE THIS REVIEW. You should thank me. There is no nepalese food flavour at all. This is just waste of your money and time. Good luck!
Best Chicken mo: mo in town for sure. Also loved the complimentary goat soup and rest of the meals. Have been there 4 times already and looking forward to go again in future.
We came here because I wanted to fulfil my Momo dumpling craving!
The Momo's were $15 for 12 which is good value, considering it also came with a free soup which was delicious. (Super spicy if your spice tolerance is very low, otherwise the ideal level of spice.)
The Momo's were delicious and we all enjoyed the dish. The only reason why it only gets four stars is because it took about 30mins for our order to come out which seemed a bit slow as there was only one other group there at the time and they had already been served their food. Customer service was ok.
The menu is outdated and would need to be updated as we saw the Momo's for $13 on the menu, not $15. Nevertheless, we were happy to pay the $15 for good tasting food.
Had been to this restaurant quite a few times. We love their Momos and Chow Mein. I liked their traditional mutton soup and mutton momo. The prices are reasonable as well. The staffs are friendly and sometime customise the dishes according to your need. It looks like there is change in management recently. Hopefully, the taste of their item will remain the same.
Highly recommended & support the local business
Friendly Owner & staff
Love their Momos & Goat taas
The worst veg momo i have ever eaten. It was like having roti tarkari. The momos had peas in it and the chutney was made of canned tomatoes. I was so disappointed
Reasonably priced, moderate customer service. The food on the menu was more North Indian than Nepali. Though their momo was very good.
I love the food here! The momos are so delicious, I've had all the flavours and love them all. Staff are super friendly too, recommend if you like Nepali food
Usually a picky person and ordered from uber eats but loved the taste and texture. Hot soup on the cold weather and amazing momos. Hats off to the chef️
Had a delicious chicken korma and some chicken momos which were really nice as well. Went mild which was spicer than most mild curries ive had before but just right. Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you!
