The Peacock South Yarra reviews
30Loved the vibe of this place and the service was excellent! We all enjoyed our meals too, although I would have liked some more mushrooms with my dish. Great coffee!
Best cafe in South Yarra and possibly Melbourne.
Cosy setting, impeccable service and delicious food that has been thoughtfully created and perfectly prepared. Get down there and check it out.
Really cute place, love the decor. Easy to get to from chapel. Staff were attentive but the coffee was a bit weak for my taste and food let it down - the poached eggs were hard boiled, and avo toast came with ketchup which we thought was a bit weird flavour-wise. Would still give it another shot.
Such a cute venue all tucked away off the main streets of South Yarra. The team at The Peacock were friendly and attentive and gave us a wonderful spot to dine. Strangely we both gravitated towards the same dish so there was no sharing like we normally would and both ordered the Banana Bread Porridge… guess it was that kind of day. With St Ali coffee and good quality almond milk there were no complaints for either of us.
The best value bottomless brunch I've ever experienced! Generous food serving and lovely cocktails. Really appreciated the flexible booking too - organising a group can be like herding cats!
Amazing experience, we were so hungry and smashed all 4 dishes for just 2 of us plus Honeycomb blueberry pancakes. My fav is Swimmer crab omelette. Other fantastic thing is coffee! First time I experienced a pure joy drinking Oat milk latte (not a fan at all, but this one changed my mind)
Cute aesthetic and nice staff but overpriced and hot chocolate tasted like dirt
Also filled with fake plastic plants
A cute chilled out local cafe with friendly staff and simply delicious food and great ambience.
We ordered chilly scrambled eggs and mushrooms. The service was quick.
The food was simple yet delicious.
I am definitely going back.
The cafe is aesthetic and has a tropical vibe to it, which I liked. It was a very hot day and the aircon wasn't turned on (even when requested). We ordered pancakes and acai bowl for brunch. Pancakes were burned and dry, and the acai bowl wasn't very flavourful. I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I was surprised how can you mess up dishes as basic as pancakes and acai.
Cozy cafe with yummy food and a nice collection of plants. One of my favourite place in South Yarra. However it can get quite busy sometimes. Strongly recommend the hotcakes - it is worth the wait.
This cafe is SO cute, with beautiful decor (greenery and ratten style, with peacock chairs!). The staff were so lovely and even giving us some local suggestions! The food was delicious and so fresh! We loved the cleanse juice.
Would 100 percent recommend!
There’s outdoor seating for both the front and back with a good vibe.
The iced matcha was average. The food was flavourful. The salmon had crispy skin and the flesh was flaky. And the soba was creamy.
Funnily the calamari in the calamari salad tasted like chicken. It was still delicious.
There’s on street parking near by. Allow extra time if you are meeting friends.
Friendly, welcoming staff, food was greatly presented and very well thought out. Great value for money.
First time breakfast experience at this place.
The food was very fresh and very well presented. Coffe also well done with the perfect temperature (and i am a big strict when it comes to my coffe lol) Really nice customer service.
I was served by Jenny (blond chic). She was great!
Coffee was excellent, food was good (French toast had some strange flavour combinations but breakfast burger was delicious)! The massive let down was the customer service. Staff seemed annoyed to greet us, despite having a booking they acted like they didn’t know where to sit us and we had to order food after waiting 20mins.
There were so many items on the menu I was keen to try - will definitely be back! Coffee was delicious.
Nice breakfast spot on a quiet corner in South Yarra. Inside is small and cosy, they were happy to accommodate my small pram. As it is an old house there are steps at the entrance so it's not greatly accessible. Staff were fast and friendly. I had the hotcakes, they were okay but a little dry. The juice came in a bottle, I probably should have asked if it was freshly made. My friend had the porridge which was really delicious. Would go again and maybe try something else.
Beautiful Cafe, ambience is great surrounded with indoor plants, very relaxing place to catch up with friends/family.
Great menu, ordered hotcakes and was amazing.
What an absolute gem of a cafe. You don't feel like you're in South Yarra, this has more Fitzroy/Brunswick vibes. Great place to chill. Coffee was one of the best I've had in Melbourne. Food was stunning, we got the brekkie bowl and the chilli crab. Tho it was very good, I would have wanted the chilli crab to be a bit spicier. It wasn't spicy at all. But yes, 10/10 would recommend and would come again
Incredibly delicious food and great service. Beautiful, peaceful, very relaxing, lovely place to be for coffee, breakfast or brunch. The music was wonderful, we didn’t want to leave. Well done to everyone who is part of this special cafe.
