Love this place. Love the Staff. Always really nice and willing to accommodate as long as you work with them. I'll say it again, lovely staff, lovely people.

Great camping spot with all the facilities which are kept well cleaned. Staff at the front desk are polite and very obliging.

Moncrief Log Cabin review - staff were very helpful with communications and on the day of check in. Location is beautiful, but as some have said before, cabin is hard to find and is not signed. It is a wonderful experience, however a little over priced imo for what it is. Over all i would recommend, and while the owners do make a good effort, which is appreciated, i would suggest a little more attention to detail, as the jar of vegemite that appeared to have been used by previous visitors was not a welcome site. Better to have single use containers instead.
Thanks again.

Spent 6 nights here. Beautiful park with spacious sites and excellent facilities. Easy access to town and the Kiewa river. Gets cold especially overnight heading into Winter.

Fire wood available for $30 per wheel barrow load. Bring your own fire pit, you can borrow one from the park but these are in high demand.

We could not have asked for a more pleasant stay. Weather was great autumn weather. Service was exemplary and all amenities were well done and being on the banks of the Kiewa River is ideal. Cannot recommend this park highly enough.

I had an unpowered camp site. It was reasonably close to facilities, and was a short walk from town.

MISSY THE CAT RETURNS!

A friendly (although largely DIY) place, with acceptable rooms for those who want one, good camping facilities for the rest, and a splendid location. Quite pleasant during the shoulder season, mid-week. One just needs to be mindful that typical visitors will feel no great urge to mind your privacy or daytime quiet - but this is the standard caravan park issue, nothing unique to this good solid venue.

Missy The Cat Star Ratings:

5 - a place of rare genius that merits repeated return visits

4 - a strong effort with no major shortcomings

3 - a solid, worthy effort with perhaps one important thing to fix

2 - several important things wrong, but at least one important thing right

1 - can't be given a zero, doesn't deserve a dollar (as of review date)

Had booked site 70 and paid my deposit 4 months ago, yesterday felt pressured to relinquish my site for another guest staying 10 nights. Asked to Cancel my booking, however after finding out I was being charge to cancel, I said I would prefer to keep my site.
Sorry to late we have given it away, says the man with attitude.

Strange experience booking 1 night, we explained we were attending another tourist venue and needed to check in early to be there by 2pm, initially advised we would need to book Fri and Sat as they are so busy, if we only book Sat then they cant take a weekend booking from someone else, I said I had never encountered this anywhere else in Australia, she asked how big our van was, upon hearing it was small she then we can put you up in the corner and that won't interfere with any other bookings, I asked about the early check in she said Im sure we can sort that but it does depend how busy we are. After feeling anxious about this booking we decided on the Thursday before to cancel and just drive up on the day, at the park the receptionist said our story was strange (yes) and she didn't think anyone there would handle a booking like that (they did) we were then informed if you cancel a booking you forfeit the first night as the deposit so staying one night you dont get any refund. We are talking about a caravan site not a 5 star hotel, our anxiety and lack of confidence is because of your staff, but no refund, she said I 'cant' refund you its policy

Highly recommend a visit. Year round spot to stay and explore.
Kids enjoyed riding their bikes with the easy to navigate park.
Tennis court and mini golf (free of charge) racquets available outside of reception. Small basketball court also.
Fire pits available and you can grab a wheelbarrow of wood ($30- CASH ONLY).
The park is well maintained and absolutely stunning. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Sites are all decent size and easily accessible.
Amenities block with full laundry facilities ($1 coins for the washing machine) and the usual camp kitchen (very clean and tidy) lounge area with a tv and sitting area.
The river is lovely and a great spot with a nice walk on the opposite side.
Easy walk into town for shops, restaurants and cafes.

Really beautiful park, clean amenities and wonderful views of Mount Bogong, Victoria's highest mountain. Not one thing to complain about - they have thought of everything!

Clean and tidy. Reasonable priced. Come every week during snow season!
The riverside campsites are amazing. Wake up every morning and see the snow mountain is simply breathtaking

This is now going to be my annual camping ground. Stayed here twice over a month. Beautiful spot right at the base of the mountains with the stunning Kiewa river running right past. Staff were always helpful and the faculties were cleaner then any camp ground I have been to. Highly recommend for all those seeking adventure or a lazy day by the river

One of the best parks ever. Great very clean facilities in an outstanding location close to the pub and town.

This is possibly one of the best parks I've stayed at. I will definitely come back.

The park grounds are lovely, it's right on the Kiewa, you can fish right off the waterfront sites and swim/tube/potentially kayak without even having to leave the park.

There's a fabulous butcher, and a great brewery across the road. There's a delish restaurant (Stockpot), pub and plenty of cafes/rest of town all in walking distance.

I'm sad we weren't there for longer.

Absolutely the best park I have stayed in.
So clean and tidy.
Beautiful surrounds and surrounded by mountains.
A winner!
Yurts, , power sites, unpowered sites, units, Bushmans hut, and the new addition Moncreif Cabin on 7 acres so peaceful and private - my next stop over

Such a stunning park with a mix of all accomodation types. We love coming here. The management are so friendly and helpful, the park is clean and right on the river. Price is fair and atmosphere is lovely.

Had a fantastic weekend, love this park been several times. Only problem was a grumpy couple of campers
did not like people having a good time and very rudely complained. A young guy pulled up next to them and she spoke to him, then he moved! If you don’t like camping next to people lady then don’t go camping!

Fantastic oasis by the babbling kiewa River. A fun place to keep cool and enjoy the Kiewa Valley. We keep coming back!
