And people… it’s stationery! Stationary means something altogether different!

I can't recommend Sherry more highly. She was so helpful and punctual with all our requests creating our wedding invitations. I had the best experience and was so happy with every detail that was looked after.

This shop is an absolute delight. The staff are wonderful, particularly the owner - I've never met someone with such a passion for notebooks! She's more than happy to talk for hours about page size, line width and paper density. Brilliant invitation design and personal service. Thank you so much.

Went in to return some place cards I purchased as we did not require them and was advised sorry no as it was just over 30 days, would not go in again for anything, found an outstanding place elsewhere that has been more than helpful.

I visited this shop for the first time recently as I was looking for a suitable piece of parchment paper to have some calligraphy done as part of a wedding gift. The sales lady recommended a particular option which I accepted. I then showed photos of the paper to the Calligrapher I chose who told me the paper was too dimpled in her view to get the best results, and recommended using her own parchment paper instead. So given the piece was for a Wedding gift, I went with the Calligrapher's recommendation. Then today, I returned to the shop with the parchment paper (still taped closed in the paper bag they wrapped it in), explained the situation and requested to return the item for a refund. The Manager then refused a refund, pointing to a small sign on the counter stating no returns on paper stock and their policy written on the receipt. I then calmly explained a/ I am a new customer to the store, b/ I was not aware of the no returns policy as the sales assitant did not inform me and I did not see the small sign on the counter, c/ I had obviously not opened or touched the parchment paper, d/ As a consequence, the paper was in saleable condition and e/ In relation to Fair Trading law, I had taken a recommendation from the sales assistant which my Calligrapher later told me was not fit for purpose. Despite all this, the Manager of the store was unmoved and refused the poultry refund of $2.50. Bewildered, I told the Manager i'd taken shops to VCAT on principle over less and won. She still refused a refund. At that point, I gave up, handed the paper to the Manager and told her I had no use for it, then walked out of the store vowing to never return. The arrogant Manager quipped "Good" as I was walking out the door. So let's get this straight, the Manager has lost my future custom, good will, and prompted me to post online reviews about my experience to warn others about this business. Research has shown that happy customers tell about 4-6 people about their experience. Dissatisfied customers tell between 9-15 people about their experience, whilst around 13% of dissatisfied customers tell more than 20 people. I've already told a friend who lives in the area who told me "We wont be going into that store". My advice, avoid this business!

We had our wedding invitations designed and printed here; we already had a watercolour image we wanted to use and Rachel was super helpful in turning our image into a lovely invitation.
The process was quite straightforward and Rachel was very patient with our questions and concerns, and when there was a small hitch in printing she didn't waste a moment in dealing with it.
We highly recommend The Paper Empire.

Could not recommend The Paper Empire enough! The artwork created for our wedding invitations was wonderful and Rachel bent over backwards to accommodate us! We were trialling many different designs and Rachel was completely understanding and was very gracious in attending to our wants and needs. This is a fabulous business and I am so pleased that we chose the wonderful team to contribute to our special day. I've had many compliments on our invitation design. Thanks Rachel and the team!:)

This place is fantastic! Excellent range of paper, cards and other bits and pieces, plus the staff are SO helpful. I was in a rush and made the mistake of going to Officeworks thinking it would be quicker to print our invitations there. BIG mistake! Serves me right for not going back to this place as usual.

Cute store, but if you shop here, check your receipt immediately to ensure you are not charged more than the marked prices.that is, unless you don't mind being ripped off. I was charged an extra $5-the items I bought were rung up as more expensive than the marked price on the items. When I brought this matter up to the owner/supervisor, she refused to do anything about it and just remarked that the items were not priced properly. So, be warned.

I placed an order for personalised birthday invitations for my 21st and being the procrastinator I am, I left it very late but they managed to organise everything/print and ship back to Brisbane from Melbourne super fast! The lady in the New Farm store was extra wonderful to deal with:) definitely coming back if I ever have another event!

This place has been so fantastic to deal with for our wedding invitations. Easy to communicate with and very helpful. I was able to use the colours of one invite with the wording and font of another to really create a custom look. They were more than happy to accomodate the changes I made when reviewing the drafts. The final product looked gorgeous. I am very happy and I would recommend them to friends.

I ordered our wedding invites through The Paper Empire after they were recommended to me by a friend. The experience couldn't have been more positive. No question was too silly, the staff were extremely personable and friendly and our invites were simply beautiful. My fiancee is a stickler for being economical especially with a growing wedding budget. He just kept saying how easy it all was and how impressed he was by the level of service and the end product that we received. Most correspondence was done by phone or email but I loved popping into their beautiful store on High Street in Armadale. Full of beautiful pens and all things stationary; it's a treasure trove of creativity. I managed to pick up a gorgeous planning notebook and some cute wedding banners for our reception too!

Love The Paper Empire! They have really helpful staff and beautiful paper products. I like to go there to gaze around at the pretty things. I always end up leaving with something!

Emily and the the team were fantastic in helping me put together my stationery for our wedding. They were so lovely to work with, always got back to me promptly and created lovely work. Highly recommend.

Really fab shop. Recently had some invites made for a babyshower, girls were extremely helpful and took the time to make sure I understood everything and were clear about timelines. I have no clue about this stuff so it was super helpful!
