I had bad experience especially coffee, the staff were very careless, i spent every second day 5: 40cents, it's not
too much but it's $960 year, I know you did well make business you create jobs all those things is good things you done, but you staff they need to improve, I hope will have good year,

A lot of good choice with cakes etc, the eclair has to disappear though, was really disappointing.

I love this place, but i need to get this off my chest. Aman is leaving the place, please do something to keep him because we all love him, and he runs the night in the best way possible. He pretty much owns the place. We gonna miss this guy, bring him back if you can!

Ok, I haven't even tried the cake, but this is a food crime that needs to be off my chest.

Bought 4 slices of cake takeaway, they put them in a cardboard tray, WRAPPED PAPER OVER THE CAKES, and then bagged them. Ok I can understand, environmentally conscious, cake will be a little stuck, BUT THEY THEN STACKED two trays in a bag. TRIGGERED.

Found this deli while exploring Melbourne which isthe home of divine cakes and pasties made fresh on premise. The cakes were fresh, light balanced and so delicious!

Excellent food and very friendly staff, open early and stays open late. Many options for folks with special diets. And good coffee (by Melbourne standards).
The big breakfast combo is plenty big, the eggs Benny was delicious.

I have been going to the paper shop for over 17 years now, and I don’t think I’d be able to live without their epic coffee! Not only that but they have a huge selection of food and drinks. It’s most certainly a Melbourne institution.

We tried a toasted roll with salami and cheese and bacon and egg sandwich. Bread was basic sliced white bread. ‘You could make it at home’ standard. Prices were not displayed for any of the items in the display. Not sure why they don’t display prices, perhaps because it isn’t very good value for money.

Worst coffee I have had in Melbourne. No depth or body to the taste. Hope I caught them on a bad day.

Great place to stop for a coffee, sweet or savoury treat and their hours are great as you can drop in anytime. Best thick shakes in town. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We are frequent visitors.

This is one of the few places that offer eggs your way on a croissant and decadent cakes for breakfast.love it!

It's been a while since my last visit, but was pleasantly surprised to arrive and see the renovations they'd done to brighten the place up.
The staff are always very friendly and polite, and my friend I took for their first visit also commented on this.
The food selection is great between the massive range of cakes, sandwiches, and hot food.
Even better to know that the majority of their food is halal, so I can easily take my Muslim friends there too!
Will be sure to visit more frequently.

I took my wife here yesterday because we had just dropped off my mother-in-law to the airport and thought that we'd do a little bit of shopping.
The staff were very friendly and the food was healthy fresh and clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the shakshuka ans the Nutella waffles - both of which were spectacular Everything came out quickly and the atmosphere was modern and clean, if a bit noisy because of how busy it was.

Popped in after a run around the lake as I had to kill some time. Had a salad sandwich and a coffee. No meat. Didn't ask for a gold leaf, just a plain old salad (with cheese and avo) sandwich. The price was $21+. I didn't realise at first then later on checked my account. Phoned to check the price was right and was told my salad sandwich and coffee were $18+ and a $3 surcharge for weekends. That's a bit rich. $21+ for a sandwich and coffee. Oh and the sandwich fell apart (I guess that the bread was fresh) so whilst I grabbed a knife and fork I still couldn't eat it and ended up leaving half the sandwich. Sadly I will keep walking past after my runs from now on and go elsewhere.

I bought a large Kit Kat cake for here on Saturday for my birthday.
When I got it home, it had split in half. I transported it flat on the passenger side floor of my car. It still tasted fine and all, but it was really disappointing to pay $90 for a cake for my party and then have it looking like this.

This disappointment is exacerbated by the fact that I phoned the Deli immediately after I opened the box and saw this, and was told that it would have happened "if the cake had not set properly but it wasn't split in half when we put it in the box". The woman I spoke to took my name and number and said she'd get management to call me, but it's been two days and no one has been in touch.

I used to own a cake bakery myself and to be honest, this is pretty bad. I would never have sold a cake that hadn't set and if I did get a call from a customer with any issues, I resolved them, I didn't just take zero responsibility and fail to call them back. Poor form.

Used to be great service but recently had a couple of very poor experiences with the owner (?) We asked if the place was family friendly, they said yes. But once our kids were inside, he constantly came over to the table telling them to sit on the seat straight & stop making noise even tho we were sitting normally! He was also being very rude when we were looking at the deserts outside, asking us to hurry up!

I am very displeased, this was neither a paper shop or a deli.please change name to something more appropriate like "266-268 Clarendon St, South Melbourne VIC 3205 Cafe". I attached a photo of me as i am a well respected critic in the field.

I recommend getting a multigrain toast with cheese, ham, tomato, avocado and butter
