The Old Paper Mills reviews
11Definitely worth the trip. Very pretty and much to see. Driving to the other side of the river (Buckley Falls lookout) to see the mill from a distance as a backdrop to the gorgeous river/falls is a must.
Everything was closed before 4pm on a Friday afternoon, except Dimora Designs which was closing. Nice view of the river from the outdoor window at “6B” (past Dimora Designs)
Nice old buildings and machinery in the yard.
Went on a Friday so many of.the studios weren’t open but it was still a fascinating experience. Wonderful environment with the old mill. Great coffee and scone at the cafe. Lovely gallery. Really enjoyed speaking with the instrument restorer and a jewellery designer. So glad we came.
This is not a cafe - this is a precinct. The precinct has a cafe in it. Beautiful, quiet place.
A great place to visit for the day. The old paper mills have a great history! Including Button Hill. A few lost trades set up which is pretty cool. The little studio spaces are interesting to explore.
A couple of gift stores, and a friendly cafe. Best to go on a sunny day to enjoy the scenery!
I have a Studio/Gallery here at the papermills,
Studio 6A Bruce kirby Fine Art
We are open most weekends through out the year.
Its a wonderful place, from small galleries and studios to a boutique winery, Cafe and lots of nature walks in the area, its truly a hidden gem of Geelong and Victoria.
Great place to drop in and see. Lovely winery. Dropped a star as the opening times are hard to gauge being all small independent retailers, if you go out on a Monday or Tuesday only a few places will be open.
We thought it was an actual paper mill museum of sorts, while that was once the case it is now all all retailers and artists
A must see for all who want to explore Geelong and surrounding areas. Lovely cafe, quirky and interesting artist studios. It had old buildings and some gardens to enjoy and has toilets for the public to use. Add it to your list of places to visit.
Saw it by chance on a bike ride, absolutely a wonderful old era place. Coffee was good at door cafe albiet a bit slow.
The Door Gallery Cafe was a wonderful serendipitous find: loved the ambience created by magnificent Rhajastani doors and the live music in its friendly atmosphere.
