7Customer service is top notch - We purchased a forest oak bench from The Modern in Fitzroy. When we took the bench home and unpacked it, we noticed there were a number of defects with the bench. When we emailed the store, Bree from the Fitzroy store made the entire process smooth and easy, offering to exchange the bench and provided a small partial refund. Thank you!
The in-store staff were helpful and I’m happy with the products that I bought, however the budget delivery driver they outsourced, Sim, was unprofessional. So gruff, so obnoxious, and a guaranteed way for a negative final impression to be left about the brand.
Unbelievably rude staff! If I could rate a zero star I would. Have never been treated so ignorantly - no hello, no service at all! Take your business elsewhere if you like to be treated with common decency and respect.
Minutes later a Caucasian male entered and he was greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Nothing "modern" about the values/customer service of this store.
Love this place. We are updating our furniture to more of a mid century look. The sofa we ordered recently, we have been looking at for a number of months. This was the best price and quality for us
Our new Vera dining chairs and stools arrived today. We couldn't have been happier with the in-store service and on-going service during Melbourne's 6th lockdown. The staff promptly replied to my emails and gave updates on delivery times etc. The quality of the workmanship is second-to-none and we think they suit our home beautifully - modern with a Scandi flavour.
Very nice furniture but unfortunately the couches I bought are stuffed with feathers of an unknown source and they continually come through the fabric and have to be pulled out. Don't think the stuffing wil, sat long at this rate.
