The Mill Port Fairy reviews
26Rude lady at counter when trying to order, with many nice cafes in town it’s not worth facing disrespectful staff, she called me an “asshole” on my way out in front of young female staff & customers
Amazing coffee, delicious muffins. What a gem! Highly recommend. Any negative reviews for this place must have been written by lunatics. Don’t visit Port Fairy without dropping in for a bite. Yum yum!
The coffee is good and there are lots of sweet and savoury food options to suit everyone.
Everything is clean and the staff are very efficient and friendly.
Loved the manner of the staff. The owner (I think) Sara, had a wonderfully friendly engaging manner.
Amazed by the hospitality. Sarah was just soo soo friendly. She looked at me and judged that I was a vegetarian and since I was with kids she gave me a spot even close to closing time.
Food was great no doubt but what I was moved by was Sarah’s smile and the love with which she served ️
Best chicken and leek pie EVER. Great coffee, and even better service. It doesn't hurt that the owner is attentive and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. If you're in Port Fairy do not bother going anywhere else.
SPECIAL.
This was my 'go to' breakfast Cafe in Port Fairy as it appeared to be the only one open early enough after a beach walk. Great coffee and always seating available early. Generous sized breakfasts. Porridge was delicious and filling but sadly no poached rhubarb included as on the menu. Young friendly staff and exceptionally clean.
Coffee was terrible. The corn fritters were full of canned corn, were over cooked & burnt. They felt like rubber! I had stuffed avo. Really bad. Daughter had the toastie with pork. Ate the pork, left everything else. Son had hot cakes. Rhubarb had way too much sugar. There’s a $100 we won’t get back!
This place was just sensational.
We sat out the front with our 2 dogs who were very welcome here.
The staff are super friendly and the food was delish!
I had the chicken burger and it was one of the best I've had in my life.
My partner had the breakfast meal thingy and it looked good. Partner said it was good
Coffee is also really good.
Glad we found this place!
Good coffee, tasty food, good service and kid friendly. So grateful to the young waitress who exceptionally accomodating opening up a pram friendly table and who helped clean up the mess after we spilled a drink. All despite being evidently short staffed.
Highly recommend The Mill Portfairy service was friendly and welcoming, coffee was amazing and the food yummy. We went there multiple times during our short stay.
The NICEST cafe, the owner was so lovely and chatty. The coffee was delicious. Also had the risotto cake which was like a huge arancini. Great value and delicious! Can’t recommend enough.
Cute little cafe on main street, but the food was overpriced and underwhelming. Hopefully just teething issues (visited Jan 2023) and the coffee's good, I'd stick to drinks until the menu's had a revamp.
The Mill was busy. In enjoyed the Big Mill and was pleasantly surprised with the sweet potato - a great addition. The coffees took a while to arrive but were worth the wait.
Five days staying in Port Fairy and we have dined at The Mill Port Fairy three times!
Delicious food and fantastic service.
One of the best cafes we have been to and can highly recommend.
The food was delicious but just some limitations. The corn fritters stick to your teeth, if you're not a fan of food sticking in your teeth then be careful.
Amazing service and beautiful food, tasty coffee, unbeatable. A must visit if you are in Port Fairy.
Great lunch of fish and chips with coffee. Very good value, and others must agree because it was busy.
Medium sized modern cafe, light filled, good layout with plenty of seating inside and out. We had a chicken panini and a ham and cheese croissant shortly before their lunch service started (12: 00). Both were excellent. Good milkshake too! Cheerful efficient service.
