The Meeting Place reviews
26We've visited from NSW to find that Reema & MJ make a mean espresso martini! Such friendly staff.
Nothing special, just a pokies and tab venue and can order food from upstairs Japanese restaurant.not recommended, save your money please.you need in hard times
Unprofessional staff i wish the train them before give them any shifts
Or close the pub. One star ️ is a lot for this place.
I really like this place. It has great food and great atmosphere. Tonight I'm watching the soccer here.
Go Matilda's!
Really nice food.there are lots of meats and other side dishes to eat. Especially Japchae was really delicious.
Wonderful experience.meeting place has a wide range of quality meats and side dishes.foods are really yummy
What’s the point of having security and staff members monitoring patrons in the pokie room when an Asian guy who was clearly sick was allowed to sit there and play 2 machines and cough for over 1 hour? !
Found the opposite of others here. Staff were more interested in being on their phones or chatting to each other. Doesn't warrant the prices for the beers ($15+!) and super pokey
What a nice place to relax, have a drink. Very friendly staff, specially Camil, what a lovely woman, very nice smile.
A lot of people were born here. Haven't experienced the Yarra River cruise yet. Go experience it once.
Great free coffee, tea, iced water etc. They followed social distancing well but at the end of the day it's mainly a "pokies joint"
Small pokie venue to begin with however now with even fewer machines operating due to covid. The layout is very dark & not a terribly welcomong environment at all, & the distance between machines made for a disappointing feeling for the place overall. At the end of the day however these factors are beyond the control of the venue as they are related to the current situstion woth COVID so the venue shoild not be held to blame for this. Still the venue made the choice to operate knowing the restrictions & i feel could have made more of an effort to do things to improve the customers experience & thats why i have given a mid range star rating.

This place has changed a lot since we were there last. There is not much atmosphere plus the meals were a turn off.
Well, wot can I say? Great drinx and I have had a few.as you do ya. A very nice experience all round, loving it, 4stars, Chris.k
Friendly and quick staff who are always happy to have a chat
Security staff are always up and about making sure everyone is safe and behaving in a orderly and acceptable manner. Also the boys are always really friendly and welcoming
Good selection of machines that change on a fairly regular basis. Always enjoy coming for a beer
While the staff are generally friendly, I was offended by one staff member banging loudly on my toilet door after only being in there APPROX 5 minutes. This was a major factor for not wanting to return, a shame as this has left an unpleasant feeling. This behaviour has certainly let the team morale and general vibe of the establishment DOWN.
Games are rigged & 6 free games,
paid out nothing with the venue pocketing 120-200 with the pay out stopped. It had all winners and nothing paid out. Taking 55 dollars in exchange for 0.the game was changed, or the moving of that machine was changed. And my belief is, the reason why they did that is because they could legally 'RAM-clear' the machine.
"The reality is, nearly all machines, 99 per cent of machines, will get 'RAM-cleared' within the five years.
