Been recommended this place for claypot. Have to say I was disappointed or maybe I was expecting much much more. It's good but the dishes were fairly bland? Used to more salt and spices. Will give it another go as I seem to be the only one who thinks of it this way!

I practically live next door to this place.

Always wanted to try and did so today.

Highly disappointing meal to say the least.

Tried the minced pork salted egg and black bean pork claypot rice.

Really one dimensional in terms of the taste. Without the soy sauce, I am just eating the rice.

The meats are pretty bland which I suspect they were properly seasoned and prepared.

A good claypot rice should have the nice fragrant of the rice coming through and the meats should have sufficient flavours on their own to create harmony between the rice and meat

Sad to say, they got the balance of the flavours wrong.

Not coming back for sure.

The food was great! If you are a clay pot rice lover, this place will be the best choice. The service is average and the place is steaming during the summer time, but the food is good.

Hong Kong style cafe, very friendly staff and good services.
Recommend to try curry radish, fishball, and pork skin. Their rice claypot are great, too.

Always happy to find local gems. This place is definitely going to be one of our go-to places! Love their claypot dishes and don't forget to dress it with their sauce liberally!

Special call out to their Thai Style Pork Neck. Super yum!

Nice place. Outdoor seating is cosy especially on a nice warm sunny day. Staff is friendly. Service is fast. For the noodle soup, the soup stock is spicy enough but too bland. On the claypot rice, the rice is nicely done with some char sticking on the claypot. Suggest to have the sausage and the beef to be shallow fried or grilled slightly to give better flavour and texture. The Ribena lemonade soda is too bland (Ribena is too diluted). Matcha drink is nice. Serving size is average. Overall average.

Visited this place with a friend after reading a post on Facebook. This restaurant opened about 2 months ago and it’s beautifully decorated and the vibe is great. We went on Saturday night and the place was busy and there was a queue. The staff were very friendly, and we didn’t mind the wait. We ordered Thai style roast promos entree and 2 clay pot rice to share. The foods tasted good, and we look forward to coming back to try their noodle dishes next time.

Pretty authentic clay pot rice. We had the preserved meat clay pot and the chicken and fish maw clay pot. Order using the QR code and then pay at the counter. The rice had the characteristic “burnt” crust and the preserved meats added a savoury hit. The chicken was well marinated, so it was juicy and tender. Be careful, it’s not boneless! As there is limited seating, come early if you want to avoid a queue. There’s also a little wait if you order clay pot rice as they are cooked to order.

The claypot rice is fragrant and nicely done, with some char at the bottom. Ask for the chilli oil, it definitely taste so good with the chilli. The rice come without sauce, you can add in the sauce based on the amount of saltiness you like. Beware…. The portion is quite small. Be prepare to queue if you come for dinner, we waited for about 35 minutes on Friday night. Their last order is 8pm so be there early.

Saw a queue at this place and decided to give it a try. The claypot rice is great. Nicely fragrant rice perfectly done. The claypot noodles are also good. Tried the Thai roast pork neck also very nicely done. A good choice for a change. Beware, portion is not big. Be willing to wait for a table. Place closed at 8pm so be here early. It is not open on Thursday. If you are not for waiting come for lunch instead.

Took more than 30 minutes for my food to arrive. Ordered minced beef, but it was actually sliced beef. Claypot was a bit bland, its just plain rice, soy sauce with beef on top. Nothing more.

Friendly staff though.

Neat little place. Food tasty and much better than most places around Glen Waverley. Perfect for lunch!

This is a newly opened claypot rice restaurant, we specially came to explore the store to try something new.
First of all, in terms of environment, this store has a limited area, which may be due to the fact that it has just opened, so you need to wait for a table.
Secondly, in terms of the amount of dishes, it is relatively small compared with other similar restaurants. There is also no claypot rice with preserved meat, which is the most popular among traditional claypot rice.
In terms of taste, the performance is average, nothing special.
In terms of value for money, this is a fast food restaurant. Per capita consumption is 25.
Comprehensive evaluation, compared with the old claypot rice restaurant "Tou Yi Tang" in Box Hill, this new restaurant obviously needs to be improved, and it is not recommended to visit again.

We recently visited this newly opened clay pot rice restaurant to give it a try. First off, the space is rather limited, making it unsuitable for groups larger than four. Secondly, the portion sizes are noticeably smaller compared to other restaurants of the same genre. As for the taste, it's pretty average and nothing stands out. In terms of value for money, this place is more of a fast-food eatery, with an average spending of $25 per person. Overall, when compared to the established clay pot.rice restaurant "First Taste" in Box Hill, this new establishment falls short. We wouldn't recommend a return visit.

I never thought that melb would eat offal (*¯︶¯*)
The taste is good and enough!
The staff all speak Cantonese and are friendly!
There are a lot of patrons during the meal time, and you have to queue up (I don’t know if you can book a seat)
If you're in a hurry to order takeaway, it's all done quickly!
The train station is only 3-4 minutes away, so convenient!
