69Nice animals but i am disappointed because it said open on the website when the hours are incorrect and they have signs to say open when they actually are not, please fix your opening hours on your website
I suggest going to Lostdogshome to adopt the employees are very kind and the pets don't bite I just Adopt a a kitten name Belle 11 days ago and she adorable
But she gets aggressive and try to bite me I mean I still love her but she just very aggressive do anyone has any suggestions to calm her down
Had an overall really great experience with lost dogs home staff at north Melbourne, nice guy was there to open the door for us and it felt very inviting.
Everyone was friendly, 10/10 service
Brought a cat but had the flu and stitches from being spayed but didn't explain to my son how to follow up with the stitches beautiful cat just very thin
We are so glad & happy we have found our new family member from The Lost Dog's Home, from North Melbourne. Kimchi (formerly known as Sweet Potato), is slowly getting more confident & comfortable every day with us. We can't see ourselves with any other dog but Kimchi. The staff members there were polite, friendly & helpful with the transition of adopting Kimchi.
We found our beautiful forever dog! After 1 month and 1 week, Pedro (Ritchie) is still doing amazing in his new home. He has already made two dog friends and has found his bark! Thanks to the patient staff that have answered all our questions about adopting our first ever rescue
I am just extremely thankful to the staff there. Everyone extremely professional and willing to help with adoption, from the nice girl that did my first paper work to the vet that came in person to talk about my Lilith’s health history and give me advises.
I love what they do hence the 5 stars however they seem to be extremely understaffed. The ladies at the adoption counter try their best however it was the pace of being in an emergency room in a hospital. They avoid eye contact with everyone except the person they are dealing with so they dont know who is next in line. I wish they also advertised correctly, last week they posted the have over 1100 animals and need to 'clear the shelter' however they had 14 Dogs available for adoption. I asked the worker and she said that's all they had 'available'. They should be clear and say they stagger the Animals. Overall I cannot blame the service however management need to update their processes, maybe they need a 'take a number' option like they have in a pathology so they know who to serve next and have more folder print outs of the Animals available, they had 2 folder copies when I was there. They need more signs like 'we will serve you shortly, wait here' or 'please grab a folder while you wait'. Very simple but would've saved alot of people from asking questions if they have never been there before.
Service and adoption of an amazing new fur baby was amazing today. Thank you to the team for such great service and here's to Hunter finding a new forever home with is
Fawkner vet hands down, Lory Smith, ripoff, unprofessional, all about coin and not yr pet,
I'm dissapointed @ myself for even giving you a dime
Management are incompetent grifters. The place has a famously toxic work culture. Employees who try to excel get gaslit, bullied and pushed out. See elsewhere.
My elderly mum got a dog next day the dog tried to attack people and showed anger towards people with moustaches they told her to let her settle.a couple days later she went to attack people again she returned the dog and they refused to give her money back and didn’t offer a calmer dog
Having looked through the list of cats, I fell in love with Molly. Having arrived at Lost Dogs home, I found the staff attentive, kind, and sensitive to the animals and me. Molly is delightful.thank you so much.
A lot more regimented than it used to be can't view all of the dogs any more.
Have to chose one dog at a time (online) to meet (, around $460 each) & your council's registration fee!
Also have to bring your existing dog in & have proof of identity
Can take a couple of hours & is a bit noisy at times with barking which can be unsettling, so as long as you're prepared you might find the doggy love of your life
Received a letter to contact them within 8 day about a dog they had. The latter took nearly 2 weeks to arrive to me. When I called they were extremely rude and would not give me any details and said it’s now in there care as I didn’t respond in time. I explained again that I called the day the letter was received so out of my control and they didn’t care. I said I’ll keep an eye out for the dog and adopt when available and told I would not be allowed to adopt her.
Very rude, no comparison or understanding and no reply to emails sent. Horrible and heartless
They did everything to save our believed dog. Even let as take our dog home know if we felt that she was suffering that we would call euthanasia. " being able to bring your dog home was really important to as and I would like to say thank you for all your hard work. You are one of a kind. Also they let as go on a payment arrangement to pay it off. That was a big help.
Best place ever to adopt I got my 2 beautiful baby kittens from there and they are the nicest and friendliest cats ever who love snuggles 10/10 place if you want to adopt go here
Easy parking (2hr out front) wonderful staff. Lots of smiles. Very cheerful atmosphere. If dogs are to be cared for outside a home it is comforting to know this place exists. Playpen for potential adopters & we saw lots of dogs being taken for individual walks xx
Thank you to the wonderful and helpful staff at the Lost Dogs Home who were so helpful with the process of reclaiming our dog when he went missing! Thank you for taking care of our dog and being so kind!
I went there to look for a dog to adopt. I've been reading about the many numbers of dogs being surrendered due to Covid and was surprised they didn't have many. It makes me think that maybe they have a high kill rate. I remember going there a few years ago and they didn't have many then either. I think they are a wonderful organisation but where are all the dogs who need homes?
