We’re regulars at Longpaddock & can’t recommend it highly enough. Wonderful fresh, seasonal, unpretentious, delicious food. Consistently good with great service from a delightful, professional friendly staff. It has everything going for it - driven by a team who understand quality food well delivered.
Today we celebrated Gerry’s birthday & had one of the best meals we’ve ever had at Longpaddock - fresh, seasonal local produce beautifully executed. Yum!
We’ve just returned from a holiday in France. We thought of Longpaddock as we grazed in regional France & Paris because we kept thinking “This reminds us of Lindenow! ” Today we think that while we travelled 1000s of klms to a country with an international reputation nothing we ate in France was any better than Longpaddock & it cost more! So add great value to the other accolades.
We are so lucky to have international excellence locally! Oh, & they surprised us today with a French champagne by the glass!

Table for 5 - really nice food and a menu with variety to accommodate the tastes and needs of our party.

I went for the short rib risotto and the lemon bomb dessert both were excellent.

Reviewing the menu it's evident quality ingredients are used. Though scones should be served with clotted cream.

This is not your average country cafe. The quality of the food is exceptional. The prices are reasonable for what you're getting, including an assortment of exceptional local wines.

Remarkable manipulation of flavour.

17/11/22 after an impulsive 7: 30am breakfast visit, I feel compelled to address the serious dirth of descriptors in my above previous one sentence review.

I sipped beautiful black coffee sans bitterness and watched maestro roll out his gnocchi while i waited for my breakfast. I ordered the tart. Cute mismatched plates. Initial olfactory assessment was alluring. No brash scent drew my attention from appreciation of the scent as a whole. The offering demanded that I close my eyes and delve into the nose. With childish delight i lifted my plate across the table for my wife to enjoy as well. I shouldn’t have been surprised at the light mouth feel of the tart after watching Maestro roll his gnocchi with such obvious reverence. However, I was. So light, so smooth. Pastry was golden and crumbly. The pickle tied the salad to the tart with all the artistry of a nawashi. No wanky ingredients. You will taste the love in the food. If you get a chance look into Maestro’s eyes. See the glint? The sparkle? This fella oozes contentment and it shows in the food. I detected no rushing or anxiety, just calm and assured movements. Staff were attentive. I didn’t get your name Maestro. My bad.

Amazing unique breakfast experience in East Gippsland. This cafe seems to be the heart of the town. The kimchi pancake, baked eggs and scones were delicious and the view was beautiful.

A country gem. Great brekky. Our takeaway pear tart and ginger walnut cake were both to die for. Local jams and pickles sold as well.
