Excellent place. Good selection of beers and the cheeseburger tastes great.
The place is kept very clean, you can tell because the toilets are spotless.

Our favorite pub. Great variety of beer and other drinks, great food, lovely and friendly staff, the best atmosphere!

Apparently vaping on an outdoor terrace is a problem.if it's not allowed outside why don't you actually put signage up saying no smoking? Better than dealing with the poor attitude of the young chick with curly hair that seemed to take issue with what we've been doing for months. Just what I want spend my money here and get attitude from a backpacker.won't be back

What a great spot up on the rooftop on a sunny afternoon. We all agreed the food was excellent as was the array of beers and the friendly service. No doubt we will be back soon and regularly.

Great bar but currently not accepting cash as payment! Unless it’s a tip then it’s ok!? Tip jar is on the bar.

Great atmosphere and a well considered menu. Eating a superbly cooked lamb roast complete with beer pairings while doing trivia made for a great night.

An amazing pub and definitely my favourite in Melbourne! Have been going here for years, moved from the area but still find my way back.must be the great food and wonderful beer selection!

Great atmosphere and great Sunday Roast. We certainly here for the special roast beef lunch and realised it was served with a bone marrow. We are not a big fan of bone marrows and they were kind to exchange it with a Yorkshire pudding for us as the kitchen wasn't too busy at lunch hour

This pub has a roof top outdoor dining area.it's a great place to enjoy the meal while soaking up the warm autumn sun!

Will we come back again to this pub? HELL YES! And will bring friends too?

I celebrated my birthday at The Local Taphouse last Sunday. The staff has been amazing and very accommodating all the way through, from the booking stage to the end.
The rooftop area is fantastic and food and drinks are great value and quality. Would definitely recommend this venue and will go back again ;-)

Great atmosphere on the terrace. Although we were disappointed that we couldn’t open a tab with the app so every time we ordered something it cost $1.25, I understand we have all had a tough year but there must be a better way. Also I won’t be getting the steaks again.

Visited on a wet and windy evening, not long after Covid19 restrictions had been eased in Victoria.
Needed to book in advance, and had a nice spot upstairs in the beer garden. Ordering food and drinks was accomplished through an app. Not particularly intuitive or convenient, but the service was extremely quick. I imagine this is only a temporary measure while the world sorts the virus out.
A mini storm blew through and forced us inside; the staff were very accommodating in finding us a replacement spot downstairs.
Good beer, and highly recommend the cajun fries. Delicious.

Marvelous. First place we went when there pubs reopened. Craft beer, great service, a lovely deck. The food is always good too.

This used to be one of my favourite places in St. Kilda/Balaclava and was the first place I went with my friends when hospitality venues opened back up.

Unfortunately, the new ordering system on your phone made it a terrible experience. Mr.yum, or whatever the name is, makes you order, through your phone, with no waiter or interaction with staff. TGI Friday's yes, but proper, established hospitality venues, who pride themselves on good food, drinks and SERVICE - this just ruins it.

If it's there just to combat the COVID restrictions, then I understand. If it's permanent, I won't, regrettably, be back.

The food and drinks were 5 stars, but it has to be 3 stars for the ordering system, it destroyed the experience. I'll happily update the review to 5 if it returns to normal.

Service was good, but to pay $25 for a minute steak is a rip off. Will not go there again and would not recommend you to any of our friends.

LOVEEE the local taphouse! The food is brilliant, great variety of different drinks in a relaxing & beautiful venue. The incredible team pulled off the most delicious roast & amazing attentive staff!

Definitely a neighbourhood gem! Love their beer selection and their chipotle chips! Big plus for being pet friendly

Brilliant! I had the beef brisket and it was quite possibly THE best brisket Ive ever had! If I'm lucky enough to get the opportunity I will certainly return! Thanks for the hospitality

The most amazing food we've ever tasted, the perfect taste of Spain. Awesome music & service was 10/10. Cosy setup for any date night. Would recommend. Get the Chorizo, made in house apparently!
