Customer service. Was very disappointed to find their physical store in North Fitzroy not open at 11am as specified by signage on their door. Waited for 20 minutes and still no show. Especially frustrating as I had spoken with them a few days before and it had been arranged that I would view the book put aside for me at 11am on Monday. I am not a local and cannot return to view the book. I try very hard to support local business but guess I will have to resort to buying from elsewhere. They may wish to update their phone recording to reflect their current opening times over the Xmas, New Year and school holiday period so as not to further disappoint customers. It looks like a beautiful store and would have loved to become an ongoing customer

An absolutely amazing array of kids books which goes well beyond any selection I've seen in other bookshops. Helpful and knowledgeable staff too - this is how a bookstore should be.

A friend recommended that I try this shop. He told me to ask for advice. Well, I didn't need to even ask. No sooner had I set foot in the door, a kind gentleman asked what age, and what I liked to read.

Just superb service and range. If you read reviews (which you obviously do) and have kids, do not bother going to any other book shop. This is far and away the best that you will find.

This bookshop is a wonderland of pictures and words. I am captivated every time I go. I love that they get behind local and Australian authors, celebrate all the things that make each of us unique and provide resources for all the feelings that any child may be having for any period in their childhood. They have fun stuff for those rainy days and things to keep the kiddies brains active when they crave more stimulation. Leesa and the team are super helpful and knowledgeable and my kids have thrived during Covid thanks to their prompt delivery system. It is The Best Bookroom.

A great owner-managed bookshop full of children's picture books, graphic novels, junior fiction and more. We decided on what we wanted to buy online first and then visited the store to purchase.

I have a very deep affection for this place, it is way more than a bookshop. In 2020 it has been one of the very important pieces of the puzzle of a life in lockdown. So much gratitude for the expertise, generosity and community provided by this little shop.

Great range of children's books that cover various diversity identities or are otherwise thoughtful.

Such an enchanting & varied selection of wonderful books. I buy for myself as well as my little people.

We went here for storytime and absolutely loves it. Despite the small space, the store is arranged well, has plenty of really great books and even a train table and toys at the back for the kids.
We loved the book reading and the staff had some excellent recomendations of books for our preschooler.
Parking is time limited along the street in front, but I'm sure there would be some other options nearby.
