The Known World Bookshop

A wide variety of genres with an owner that provides friendly service with a deep passion for her business makes this a wonderful shop.

We were lucky to find this little gem of a bookstore in an historic part of Ballarat on our way to Sovereign Hill. The range is well curated, lots of subjects, lots of rare books and plenty of 'special interest'. Michelle was so helpful.

What a magic place, full of warmth and the promise of discovery. I could have stayed a lot longer and will have to revisit very soon. Lots of love for this gorgeous literary haven.

Buying books on line can be a gamble. It would seem that many book shop owners have absolutely no idea of what the Post is capable of doing, EXCEPt this bookshop. Care and consideration of the packaging for the post was foremost, thank you.
