The Keys reviews
24Hidden gem that son introduced us to, cold beer, great hamburgers and the snitzel was huge. Plenty for kids to do
Poor service waited too long to be served. Place is popular and busy [for now] but clever management would sort shortcomings asap.lots of staff - not everyone doing much. Mm?
Hey guys, thank you for a fabulous evening. I was blown away by the food and how incredible it was (not expecting that). The service was great, and the staff were so lovely. Ps: can you asked the DJ to accept my request of sweet caroline next time thank you.
Ordered the cheeseburger & chips along with two serves of schnitzel, chips & salad, all on the same order. My burger came out literally within a few minutes and tried to eat it as slowly as possible. 10 minutes later my fiends schnitzels came out as I finished my burger. Very disappointed and gave feedback and was told the burger/snack meals come out of a separate kitchen. Burger was very good but the experience was ruined by having to eat alone & listening to the justification for the service.
Stopped in tonight for drinks and two games of bowling with my partner to celebrate her birthday. The staff member who greeted us was named Giordiano, who was warm, welcoming and enthusiastic.
The bartenders were knowledgeable and helpful in delivering their service all night.
During our second game of bowling, I had to step outside for a few minutes so I asked Giordiano to fill in for me for a couple of turns. He was reluctant at first but eventually agreed
Upon returning, I was amazed to see that Giordiano had not only landed me a strike, but followed it up with a spare.
My girlfriend usually beats me at bowling, but the few extra points that Giordiano secured ensured I walked away victoriously.
Massive thanks The Key for being a much needed venue on the North Side, and most importantly Giordiano, for his sharp looks and superior bowling skills
We had lots of fun spending our weekend there with our friends. Staff are super polite and friendly.
Great place to have indoor activity during the rainy or cold days.
Arrived 2 minutes late, never got an email confirmation to arrive earlier as had rebooked (assumed a small grace period). Sat down and got a drink, was told we had less than half an hour to play a game of bowling. Felt very rushed. Burger was burnt.
Love this venue, every experience was amazing, except for the waitress who was nasty, refused to speak more than a whisper, and treated us like lepers- she was vile and awful, get rid of the nasty waitress & you’ll get a 10/10 review!
Bowling here was reasonably cheap and had a great northern suburbs feel too it. Drinks were a Little expensive and unfortunately the QR code at the table wasn’t working. But overall absolutely worth a visit
Absolutely incredible space. I loved the bowling alley. The design and vibe of it all was amazing. I'll definitely be back. Given who opened this place up and how much I love their other venues, I had super high hopes for the food. Sadly that's where things fell apart a bit. We had cheese burgers, eggplant Parm, hot wings, cauliflower poppers. Aside from the poppers, everything was just a little bland. Really lacked seasoning. Burger had very little flavour, same for the parm. Hot wings weren't that spicy, which is fine, but the chicken under the sauce was pretty meh. Maybe this was a dud night. I'm definitely not writing this place off yet. Fingers crossed for next time.
Cool venue, bowling was fun. Has a couple of bars and good food (had a tasty burger). Would recommend
Can't wait to get back here after my first visit on a Wednesday night. Such an accomodating and unique venue. Love at first site
Can't seem to get enough of this place, it's now our weekly thing.
The food is great the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun with a little bit of chill.
Couple of fire place to chill out while having a few drinks or a feed.
It's got a couple of pool tables and arcades
(No pinball machines)
Weird. Absurdist inspirations? Had a fun and casual time with mates here, left my backpack. Came back later to ask staff if it was handed in, as it had some student work from an excursion. It wasn't there. Left my number in case it turned up. Went to check the carpark in case it was dumped, then was barred from coming back in. Why? Who knows. Maybe the manager wanted the EpiPen.
Update: venue kind enough to contact when worthless bag mysteriously reappeared weeks later! Can now confirm manager did NOT use the school epipen, previous speculation clearly unfounded. Boosted the star rating on my review for this act of kindness. On later reflection, an entirely normal experience, one that in no way seemed strange and bizarre to the various friends and colleagues that witnessed it unfold. Heartily recommend that this is indeed a venue.
Really cool place, great vibe, friendly staff and tasty desserts. Under 18s could come in the evening too which was great
A day at THE KEYS for a family catch up, awesome venue with amazing staff. Chilled vibe with amazing furnishings. The place has been put together with disabled people in mind. First visit and definitely not our last.
Great place and fabulous cocktails. Really nice vibe, but the booking staff are horrible, and do nothing more than look after their friends who come in and give the lanes to them.
They tell you that you can't book online for a few hours in advance, and you can't book a lane while in the venue for a later time, you have to just wait around to book closer to the time, (presumably to spend more money in the venue). When you go up before the time they tell you to, they say oh sorry someone booked it online it was a "glitch". This terrible booking system has been an issue twice now.
Rude and staff made it a terrible experience. Don’t give these guys money. Also check what you’re paying because they could overcharge you and refuse to refund.
Go to Ballers ClubHouse or Achie Brothers.
Interesting place - lots of potential. Owners & front staff don’t seem to be able to grasp the concept of a booking system. Would love to come in and pay for a period of time at a lane, rather than having someone book over the top of me after my first game.
Awesome vibe. Great service and somehow has a beach feel. Bowling is expensive but who cares?
