I'm a student here and I love coming here! I would definitely recommend to parents trying to find a school for their child.

Miss Jane was terrifying, I used to go to this school and she would bully the girls who had been unable to attend, thus unable to do the choreographed parts. I was unlucky enough to have been away for two weeks and the week I came back Jane got the rest of the class to sit at the back and got me to perform the dance that they had started whilst I was away. She shouted at me how bad I was and pointed out my errors in a rude way saying things such as did you eat a massive breakfast, why isnt your tummy tucked in etc. I was crying by the end of that dance. It would be ideal if students could opt to just do jazz or tap as I absolutely loved those classes, unfortunately at the time that was not an option so I quit dancing and have been to scared to find another studio.

We've recently started our ballet journey and are thoroughly enjoying our experience at the academy. All the staff we have met have been so friendly, professional and welcoming. Miss Andie amazes me with what she is able to get the little dancers to do through gentle guidance and encouragement. My little girl loves it. Highly recommend.

I used to go to this school a fair while back. I have many happy memories after all ballet used to be my entire childhood however since growing up I realised some flaws with Jane's teaching style.

Unfortunately she showed incredible favouritism to maybe two or three girls maximum in a class of sixteen. The rest were sort of glossed over and there was this poor girl named Mary who was scapegoated like you wouldn't believe. If anyone watched Dance Moms it was like that. There was a Maddie or two, and a Chloe in every class. The Chloes got demeaned and verbally humiliated even though their abilities were the same as the majority. That may not phase you depending on how thick your skin is but no mother wants their daughters to be a Chloe Paige or Nia.

Dear Miss Jane, I hope that these memories are all but distant memories now and the atmosphere in the classes are full of enjoyment and constructive rather than destructive feedback. Saturday dance classes were always my favourite part of the week.

Hi everyone! I would say avoid this place.
Customers service horrible everything is and big deal the receptionist/helpers super rude.
My daughter wanted to go back to ballet so we decided to try this school as is close to us but each time when she was coming back she cried, she was saying she is not good enough the teacher is getting mad at her. I couldn’t understand why she is so upset until we went for open day/view day. Dear Jane if you trying to teach kids by putting them down, bully them or making them upset maybe problem is with you not kids. Good teacher is patient teacher. I”m so disappointed need to say if anyone wants good school pls St Kilda national theatre Mum.
