As a new commuter, I joined THB when my competitive streak took over. The Head Coach, Steggles, recognised my potential and developed it through personalised programmes. The extensive experience, personable approach and understanding of racing provide invaluable lessons for success in competitive cycling. The guidance goes beyond physical training, also imparting mental strategies that are crucial for success in high-pressure racing situations. This is primarily the reason I achieved a podium finish at the Elite Road Nationals in the Time Trial within three years.

The Hurt Box is not just about coaching, but also the community that Steggles has created. The friendship among cyclists at The Hurt Box is unparalleled. We are not just individuals pursuing our own goals; we are a team that supports and encourages each other every step of the way. This sense of community has been instrumental in my journey as a cyclist. The group rides offer on-road coaching and immediate feedback from experienced professionals.

Overall, my experience with The Hurt Box has been overwhelmingly positive, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their cycling skills and become part of a supportive community.

The depth of knowledge and experience within the team at Hurtbox, gave me a level of confidence that I was in the right place. My connection came through a really easy and enjoyable gravel ride meet up with David. His easygoing humble manner, makes it very easy to listen to him and learn from what they do!
