The Hidden Kitchen reviews
53My strong coffee was perfect. Bacon and egg toasted bun was very good. Will definitely detour for this hidden gem.
Tried this place out as it was near where I was staying.
They dont have a large selection with only coffee and a selection of prepared sandwiches and rolls, as well as peies and pasties. Was hoping for scrambled eggs but they didn't do this.
Tried the egg and bacon roll, but the egg yolk wasn't cooked, with egg yolk dripping out as I bit into the sugarery bun.
Food is too good and service was amazing. Can hardly believe we drove past this little gem twice before deciding to stop in. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
While the location is a bit hidden in a residential area it is so worth the effort to find it. By far the best expressions of meat pies and sausage rolls I have encountered in the state of Victoria. Although small inside there is plenty of outdoor seating. Great vanilla slice for dessert. Everything is fresh and what is visible that day is what is available typically. Highly recommended!
Hidden spot that opens before everyone else. Coffee was great and I had the best muffin of my life, fresh out of the oven amazing. Worth the trip if you are in town.
Cute place. The coffee is excellent. Staff are friendly and went above and beyond to make something specific for me.
Small Cafe tucked away in the suburbs of tootgarook and its a gem. Tasty food and great coffee
All staff are very friendly
The lady in the counter gave us a judgmental look just as we walked in. Staff seemed rude, would not return.
Food was great, and they helped me out with my dietary needs with no issues. Coffee was delish, the location was peaceful, felt like community, loved it.
Best pies we’ve had in a long time. The vanilla slice was bang on as well. Friendly staff. We will be back for sure!
Chatty friendly team served a beautifully creamy latté, and quite possibly the best ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had. Sparingly-filled so you could actually taste the pastry, it was grilled not pressed, so remained light and fluffy and crispy and flakey. Outstanding!
I have just moved in around the corner, I have been maybe 8 times in a 2 week period.
The food never disappoints, the coffee is great, the service is exceptional.
And for all these reasons it can get very busy quickly.
Highly recommend!
Great experience, a tiny local home made style Cafe is super delicious with warm and friendly staffs and kitchen. Highly recommend to check out
Staff were very welcoming, great service and the food was fresh and delicious. I had a very enjoyable lunch with my parents there.
Called in for coffee and something to eat. Lady serving seemed disinterested and said she would bring my order outside to my table. Ordered salmon bagel which should have only taken 3 minutes to heat up but after 10 minutes asked how it was going. I got an overcooked hard bagel. Unedited. Won't be returning there again anytime soon.
Its okay, good coffee, nice food but I always feel like the service is a bit slow if you order anything that needs heating/toasting (understand that you are finding it hard to get staff at the moment but this was also the case pre COVID too)
In saying, that good things do come to those who wait and everything I order is always delicious.
Ordered 2 breakfast. Both poached eggs were hard boiled and my fritters came out oily and crumbled before I even started. Disappointed but the coffee was great.
Was disappointed as seen this on tv.
Extremely expensive- Paid $34 for a sausage roll, beef n mushroom pie and a can of drink. Vibe in the actual cafe was not the best.
Don’t think I would visit again.
Not much variety of pies. Had their burgundy pies which were tasty. Breads and toastie were heated on the sandwich press on order giving you some hot food.
Good little cafe hidden away.
