Gorgeous shop in Hamilton VIC. Traveled from Melbourne for a Western VIC weekend and, despite missing the 1pm closing time, the proprietress kindly let us shop for local wines, pantry items, candles and more. Can't wait to go back again!
When I first walked through the door, I was expecting to be served by Prue and Trude from Kath 'n' Kim. Atmosphere is interesting, but the staff need to drop the pretence, this small town hamper has a long way to to go to compete with Smith Street Alimentari or Toscano's.
Also beware of excessively marked up prices on some specialised goods, check the current online price.
A great place to shop, for great quality food and wine. We was passing through Hamilton, and 'The Hamilton Hamper' was a stand out shop within the high street. I would fully recommend shopping there, or enjoy a coffee and cake within the shop. We also found great gift ideas, within the shop. All in all, a fantastic experience and place to stop, if your in Hamilton.
Tried their Herbies mulled wine. On a cold day it was glorious. Attractive shop and helpful service.
