The Hader Clinic

Ive spent over 16,000 dollaras to jackson and i was seening people taking drugs leaven at night to go to the pub. The next day i told staff and i was told to just worrie about me. I was there for not even 10 days i cant get my money back no i always call and this was 3 years ago and still till today they wont have me back or even give me any money back if this has happend to anyone plz let me know. A cant imagine how many people are like me.

I cannot rate the program offered at Hader St. Albans Park highly enough.
Jacqui, Pete, Dr Kefle, Dr. Robin, and all the Nursing and support staff, Polly, Judith, Phil, Maree, Grace, Rhama, Peter, Vicky, Summer and Jo were just wonderful. The 12 step program is proven to work for millions globally in recovery, and the educational component offered in the Hader program for both steps, and personal wellbeing is the perfect introductory guide, and preparation for adapting to what is offered with NA and AA programs in the real world.
The program teaches the stepping stone and understanding of inclusion to the programs offered outside, and encourages participants to identify with feelings, wellbeing, and integration to how the NA and AA programs successfully work in society. The program replicates how both groups in society work, and encourages people to speak up, meet new people, work with others in recovery, and share hope and feelings, as is with all in recovery, and at off site meetings.
Yes, there are daily and group tasks which encourage routine. That is life skills. I recommend to book a month at the Hilton if you don’t want to learn about recovery, and not have to wash your clothes and dishes.
If recovery is what you are looking for, and to change your life for the better, or a family member for a new lease on being a better person, I found the program to offer the answers I needed.

This rehab is nothing more than a scam please avoid I suggest if you’re searching for a rehab avoid private facilities and if you don’t believe me go see a dr and they will tell you the same this place is a waste of your money, also most positive reviews are from the people that work at this clinic

Finally removed my son when the bus taking them to an AA meeting was pulled over and the driver, who was a patient was over. 05.
Not the right fit for him. In 3 months only seen by a doctor once and no psychology sessions.
Very disappointing and very expensive for the services and therapy they provide. Big on promises but short on delivery.

Had a great meal and the waiters were really kind, although i did find an open needle in the toilets.

Horrible experience, don't send your loved one there! I'm now at a different clinic now and the care, love and support I receive from this new clinic compared to Hader is incomparable. The staff at hader tell clients about other clients confidential information and some staff even take advantage of vulnerable clients by flirting as well as other inappropriate things.
On top of that, The Hader Clinic owe my parents $5k which Jackson approved but now all of the sudden we can't get ahold of them; texting, calls, emails, etc. They have been ignoring us for months. I'm begging you, as an addict myself, do NOT waste your time or your money, go somewhere else! Trust me your loved one will be better for it!

Had a great experience in Hader, Support workers were very knowledgeable and caring, even when some rules were broken (by Me), they understood. Highly recommend Hader to anybody going through addiction. From Jackson all the way through the nurses and support workers you feel loved and that they genuinely care.

I had a terrible experience here. Management was shocking to say the least. Spend your money somewhere else. You have been warned

I would recommend passing on this place it will be far from what you expect and nothing of what you have paid for. Management are appalling you will see a lot of issues and never will you see anyone address them. Staff will are under qualified and often manipulative they will talk in a circle and do nothing. As for the program it is run with a cult mentality and is not an effective program look at the relapse figures. Please look into another center.

I am writing this Consumer Review following completing The Hader Clinic Program.

I was using AOD essentially killing myself and my mental health with pre-existing conditions was suffering. I destroyed my life, I came to Melbourne for long-term treatment, I entered The Hader Clinic with two bags; this is my life.

Out of desperation, I reached out to The Hader Clinic for which they sorted my admission in a day. They arranged long-distance travel to The Hader Clinic Head Office in Melbourne. I am grateful that they did what I did not have the capacity to do for myself, I was completely broken.

I was met by warm and friendly Staff, they were attentive to my needs. I honestly feel that they have literally loved me back to life when I could not see a future. I found the facility was very clean, they had a daily routine and schedule and I found this really easy to follow and adjust to - I felt loved and cared for.

What I took the most out of this Phase of the Program was the phenological experience from the Staff members. I was willing to surrender what I knew and to listen to their experiences – my best thinking got me into this mess; I simply needed to connect, open my ears and put down my engrained negative attitudes, values and beliefs. I had to let go of what I thought I knew and I opened the door in my mind to The Hader Program that could work if I let it; and from my experience it has given me more than I expected – hope, connection, compassion, self-care along with a lot of laughs.

This Program does offer a lot of freedom, for which I am grateful, it certainly gave me the room to make my own mistakes and learn from them. Ultimately, if I do not do the work, I suffer and that is my choice – The Hader Clinic aided me to gain recovery and sobriety giving me that choice back. With that choice, I learned Recovery is my number one priority in life giving me options – I did not have options, I was stuck previously in the cycle of addiction.

There are three expectations at The Hader Program: (1) Work the Program; (2) Trust the Process and (3) Follow the Rules; in my experience, this is not difficult and I had little resistance when I aligned myself with these pillars.

To that end, I would highly recommend The Hader Clinic; I could not have broken my cycle of addiction without them. Today, I have hope and I am grateful.

This place saved my life. 7 years clean today! Couldn't have done it without starting out at Hader. It may seem challenging at first, but this program works - long term! I am living proof of this. Thank u again

I did this program in October 2013 and am still clean and sober to this day. Forever grateful for the team and the program they run. It can be done!

I learnt at The Hader clinic that i needed to set boundaries with my loved one and their addiction. I could stop enabling and being part of their addiction, separating my love for them and my disgust in the addiction.the Hader clinic gave us as a family a clear pathway to recover as an entire family and my partner who spent 10 years slowly destroying himself and his family - is now 3 years clean, working full-time and most importantly a great dad. Thanks to Jackson, Richard and the team at the hader clinic. We are all very greatful.

12 months ago our family had run out of options. Our daughter had been addicted for years and we had tried everything to help her. We feared the worst was going to happen at anytime.

I urge you do not use this rehab. My family and I spent thousands of dollars for a shabby environment with a shabby staff and the whole structure is unprofessional.did not get my moneys worth.seek an alternative immediately. MONEY NOT WELL SPENT.do not trust what JACKSON and the staff on commercial rd tell you they just want your money and you are a low priority for them.also you will be dealing with people right out of prison, on bail or ordered to hader by a court athat will disrupt yout recovery. It sounded great on internet but it was a big let down it was a big money making con for people desperate for help

PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE PROMISES OF JACKSON OPPY & Co at Hader Clinics Australia. They are dishonest, misleading and completely unaccountable to the Department of Health and any accrediting body. They are instead very keen to get your money. You cannot use private health insurance at Australian Hader clinics. Despite what website says the Australian Hader Clinics are NOT registered with Department of Health and are NOT accredited therefore private health funds will NOT cover claims. Please don’t listen to the claims of Hader that they will help you claim on superannuation either. I have been waiting since October 2018 for medical records from Hader in order to make claim. I have spoken with Director Jackson Oppy several times. Despite his guarantees l am still waiting. There is a definite jail mentality as noted by many other reviews. During my stay l witnessed incidents similar to those in a prison yard. Knives from the kitchen were used by patients to harm other patients, aggression and abuse were not uncommon. Bed bugs riddled the linen, patients cooking meals for others with no food handling certificates, infection control or any basic hygiene skills. THIS IS AN UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR LOVED ONE. I have been to Malvern Private with great success and $480 out of pocket cost for 5 weeks. Staff at Malvern are trained nurses, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists and trauma counsellors offered free for family and friends. Malvern Private is fully accredited with ACHS and registered with Department of Health. Therefore care is regulated & safely managed. I have nothing but 110% praise for Malvern and complete disgust for Hader. I was well supported and safe at Malvern as were my family and friends. There were no money making grabs just a genuine concern for my recovery. Unlike Hader who showed complete disregard for my health and well being. Requests to see doctors were completely ignored. No qualified staff onsite. PLEASE ENQUIRE ABOUT MALVERN PRIVATE HOSPITAL who will show you the respond support you and your loved one deserve.

Me and my family have nothing but positive things to say about this program. Right from the beginning with the support we received from Jackson and the team, through to the professional treatment our loved one has received - we couldn't be happier. He is the happiest we have ever seen him and fully committed to living life in recovery. The facilities are clean, the staff are professional and caring and the support we have received as a family is second to none. Thank you thank you thank you Hader team, we have our friend back!
