The Gurdies Winery reviews
28Hidden gem! Absolutely amazing views onto French Island. Great wines and a good place to unwind!
Excellent views of the vineyard and water in the distance. Absolutely love my time spent here, will return again. Service could be warmer / friendly but we also understand it was almost closing time so perhaps they have been worn from the day.
We did a wine tasting and had some snacks. The view is amazing and the tasting was awesome? Highly recommended!
Spectacular view at this winery
Nice renovated shed which they turned into a very class cellar door and a beautiful outdoor area with a view, tables & chairs and a BBQ area too.
They do tasting paddles which is a bit different but I kind of prefer it for this place.
Chardonnay and Riesling are the best ones there.
Went for a drive had a coffee great service and a beautiful view even it is just a coffee well done to the staff will do it again thank you
The views from the patio are fantastic, and the selection of wines had something for everyone.
The band added a lovely touch, and the option of cheeses, biscuits, and nibbles topped off a lovely afternoon with family.
Being close and getting to know the owners means this will be the new place to visit
Great venue. The wine was good. Perfect view of Westernport. We saw a local music act that the venue supports
Gurdies Winery Estate - Enjoy this beautiful view of the ocean and vineyard outside, as you sample the various wines on offer. Staff are friendly and they make sure that you are well looked after.
What a wonderful place to spend an afternoon and drink beautiful (very reasonably priced) wines. And the view is totally spectacular!
Location location, brilliant service, highly recommend. Attended a wedding here was amazing, well done all
Very impressive location in which the wine compliments will be spending a lot more visits and tastings.
This was a very pleasant find while out for a drive last weekend. The wines were lovely and the variety of cheeses and dips etc to choose for the grazing board was fantastic and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.
Friendly staff, good selection of wine with great views.
You can see the new owners are renovating/improving the place. Can't wait to see how it all turns out
Beautiful local wines, knowledgeable and friendly staff topped off by amazing views with picnic tables and beautiful serenity. Definitely worth a visit. Perfect rustic venue for functions
Bruce, the new owner was an exceptional host and guided us through all their labels. The wine was lovely!
Wendy and Bruce both fantastic. The Verdellho 2018 Chardonay is an absolute sensation. There was not a single wine that I did not enjoy. I was originally intending to perhaps buy a bottle, but ended up leaving with 6. The views from the estate are stunning. Well worth a stop over.
Just visited The Gurdies Winery with Bruce and Wendy. They were so knowledgeable and kind, giving us a beautiful experience at their winery. They stock a wide variety of wines. Will definitely revist sometime soon.
What a find! A perfect stop-off on the way down from Melbourne to Phillip Island or beyond if you like enjoying a good wine with a stunning water view. (It's only a 5 min detour from the main highway.) I especially enjoyed the off-dry Rieslings! Tasting fee is only $5 and refundable on any purchase. The owners are very friendly too. Looking forward to dropping in again next time!
The Riesling is absolutely worth the trip out. A perfect place for a relaxing day trip to escape the city, I can’t wait to get out there again and try out their freshly installed coffee machine!
On our way back from Wilson's prom stopped at The Gurdies Winery, (currently under new management, Wendy and Bruce are working hard to turn the place into a smash hit). It's got an amazing view, some excellent wines on their list that even managed to impress a non drinker. Love the story behind the chemistry professor and his wine making obsession. Would definitely recommend this place and their wines and we'll definitely be back. The Verdelho was one of the favourites
