Probably my favourite place for coffee in Ballarat at the moment. So beautiful. But if you are an indoor plant addict - probably best stay away

The Green House Ballarat is my go-to for purchasing plants. The variety they offer is incredible, and the plants are always vibrant and healthy. The added bonus of a delightful cafe with tasty treats and the option to use Afterpay as payment makes it an awesome spot. Truly an all-around fantastic place!

I was on the wrong side of town, surrounded by desolate buildings and urban decay. I feared for my life if it weren’t for the beacon of hope, a finely kept red brick warehouse. Upon entering I was met with an array of greenery. Towards the rear of the establishment was a dining space. My associate and I desired to remain here for a time not only to seek shelter from the outside but also to receive nourishment.

I had ordered the reuben toasty which was quite tasty despite not having any pickles (disqualifying it from being a proper Reuben). It had exquisite cheese and the pastrami was nice. I was met with envy when my associate ordered each of the bao buns on offer. These were the most exquisite tasting and flavorsome offering on the menu.

Not only does this establishment offer a safe haven from the decayed urban area surrounding, they offer pleasant food too. 5 stars

I went second day of new menu and it was absolutely amazing. Despite being extremely busy the food was out quickly.

Staff were all super lovely and highly commend the chefs.

The new food menu was incredibly delicious and the food flavours were all carefully considered and matched well. They catered really well for vegetarians.

Can't wait to see what is next for this amazing business! Fantastic job with the new menu!

The plants are stunning- as always- but the food was to DIE for. We ordered almost one of everything and it was delicious. Would recommend!

Gorgeous space. The staff were so friendly and kind to my friend’s 2 year old. Hidden gem in Ballarat. You’ll want to stay all day.

Have loved visiting this place for a long time, great selection of plants, friendly staff.
They have just started serving food, and I wish them well. That said, they have a very long way to go. The food is pretty terrible. I don't understand why places in Ballarat do this, they offer food that is way below the standard that other places offer. Surely you'd do a bit of research, find out what's already good in the area, what's already on offer, and then use that as a benchmark.
Anyway, they've just started down the food road, I just hope they realise it's really not up to standard and do something fast to fix it.
Maybe get a proper chef in, someone that can do something unique. Good luck.

EDIT: In response to below.
Yes, I had altered the order, that said, removing slaw shouldn't render the meal inedible.
I think it's a real shame that the literal best plant store in Ballarat is letting itself down by serving up such low quality food.
I'll give you a real life example. If someone came to Ballarat and wanted plants, I would absolutely tell them to come see you guys, but if someone was asking for a food reccomendation, you wouldn't get a mention.
I think you need to take the same approach with your food business as you are with the plants, be the best.
Adding a bit of lettuce on the plate to 'fancy up' the toastie just isn't good enough.
200+ people not leaving positive reviews should tell you something.

If you're looking for a store that is inspiring to the point of you being overwhelmed with joy, a cafe that's consistently delicious and offers indoor, outdoor, upstairs and secretly next door dining, a place to have your baby shower slash wedding on the same day aaaand you want to be a part of one family's gift to Ballarat, go here.

I can't recommend it enough.

What an absolutely incredible little hidden gem in Ballarat! The coffee, the toasties, the cakes not to mention the service and plants! Go there right now, grab a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere (maybe leaf with a plant or two haha)

Cinnamon scroll is the best I have tried in Ballarat (think Cinnabon style), and iced mocha is also delicious.

My wife loves coming here for the indoor plants. I enjoy trying the delights on offer.

The team have created a wonderful space, to either enjoy browsing the many indoor plants, or sitting in the indoor or outdoor areas enjoying the ever growing quality food and drink offerings.

Thanks team for your passion that reflects in your plant and food offerings.

The coffee from here was good and they have a wide selection of plants at reasonably prices. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There is outdoor seating at the back if you wanted to get some breakfast or brunch. I noticed the takeaway coffee cups were high quality biodegradable cups as well, nice touch. Was very happy with our visit here! I wish this place were more well known because it deserves to be!

A really "jungle vibe" nursery, when you enter here you enter a new world! Surrounded by walls of plants, you're probably going to find something you want!
The range here is really great and every trendy plant you could ever hope to one day buy is available here. The staff are also really knowledgeable about plant care and oest treatment and always super helpful and kind. If you're looking for established plants they also have a great range of LARGE plants.

This is the best indoor plants in Ballarat. All the plants are beautiful and healthy. The price tag is reasonable. I will go back to buy some more plants to turn the living room into a jungle. Also, I am interested in making a terrarium.
