A great variety of hot and cold food available. Sweet and savoury selections should appeal to most who drop in.

I can't make a proper review without trying a bakery multiple times, I have to check and try out the Hot options.
We went in and had some very delicious looking pastries, cakes and it was hard to choose.
We did get a nice range of baked goods for us and the kids, we did find quite a few that we absolutely loved. We did have a couple items we were not as pleased with, but that's only because we have had some exceptional products elsewhere.

Very weak customer service, I ordered dine in, but they served me take away! The taste of coffee was not Good enough.

Honestly i have no idea why this place is always busy. Pies are bland (how do you get such little flavour out of a beef, bacon, cheese, onion pie!? !?), the donuts were like a bread roll with icing, and the vanilla slice was very gelatinous. First and last time going here.

Just bought and threw out the worst french vanilla slice in my life thecustard was like rubber could not eat it

Bought a steak and mushroom pie at about 6.30am took it home and found this inside the pie. I was completely disgusted and it went in the bin. I don’t know what it was an artery or a bone or whatever but it was huge and hard and totally gross. Cakes were lovely might consider buying those again but definitely steering clear or the pies cos it made me feel physically Ill in my stomach.

Beware of ordering toasties. Got charged just under $25 for two toasted sandwiches. One was just ham, tomato and cheese. Absolute rip.off

Wide range of baked items, good prices and service. Very nice coffee and a "rewards card system " for loyalty comes in handy. Custom & trading levels have improved as Covid-19 restrictions ease, food quality is as good as ever.

I purchased a packet of 6 hot cross buns today 22/03/2023 and was very disappointed as they were not at all fresh and must have been a few days old. I expect when purchasing from a? Bake house that you would be sold fresh products.

Great coffee.love the pies, how ever pastry can sometimes be a little thick. Staff are easy on the eye too.

Went in for a coffee this morning and the barista was a "know it all" haha but couldn't even make my coffee order correctly. Very disappointing. I won't be back.

Excellent place to grab a snack. Fantastic options and very friendly staff too. Always serving their customers with a smile

Ordered a jam, cream and sponge cake for 40 people.
The cake was so light and fluffy and the filling was amazing.
The decorating on the top was perfect. 10 out of 10 all round

Located close to Pakenham train station and on the main street, Australian bakehouse cafe is on the intersection of main street and drake place.

I have been regular visitor at this cafe and it is always nice to enjoy my in coffee and breakfast as the vibes are quite positive. Today I had a Coffee latte, Veggie Toastie and Veggie Pastie. Photos attached.on top the food, weather had been very supportive. Hence, we ate our breakfast in outdoor area.

They do have an indoor setting and outdoor setting. Also, I was tempted to have a pastrie which looked really nice. Although, avoiding sugar so I did not try it.

I would personally recommend anyone who is willing to spend their morning with their loves ones with a wonderful breakfast.

Sorry for the negative review but I have my reason.
We are traveling Oz atm and while in Pakenham we decided that a bakery would have lovely fresh foods. Your business had so much to choose from I struggled but in the hotbox I saw a schnitzel burger that looked nice. So I ordered it and sat in the window to watch the world go by. My first bite was enough and I should have taken it back but I preservered. The bread roll was dry, I mean really dry and crisp from sitting in the hotbox too long, and after a few bites, I decided to just pull the schnitzel out and leave what was left of the roll. My choice to do this. After I finished I decided to take my plate back to the counter and discretely mention to the staff member that the roll was awfully dry and not palatable. This is what upset me, no sorry was given at all, no nothing, she took the plate and that was that. I went to the ladies and when I came out I had a look to see if maybe the other burger in the hotbox had been removed as per practice in places I have worked. After a certain time, the food is tossed if it has dried out and certainly if someone has indicated to me that it wasn't right I would remove it but nooo the other burger was there waiting for the next unsuspecting patron to dig their teeth into. Please have a chat with all your staff, a simple sorry and thanks for bringing it to our attention would have sufficed for me.
Moral of the story, just because it's a bakery doesn't mean it is going to be freshly made food. Buyer beware: (

I like coming here, if I pick the right time. It does get really bust but the food is good and coffee reasonable as well. Also one of the few places in Pakenham you can sit outside to eat.

Don’t buy a mud cake from here. $25 and it was the drier than week old packet mix chocolate cake. All I could do with it to get rid of it was microwave it and have with ice cream, and even then it was still dry! ‍️
I regretted not buying a coles mud cake instead.

Always fresh and very busy
But close at 3pm as they open early
I think they would benefit from staying open to 4.30 for the school kids etc

We attend his every few weeks, they are always very pleasant and always offer to make us fresh breakfast when we look into the bain maree.

Lovely staff, very helpful and efficient. All the food is freshly cooked and tasty. Coffee is really good
