The Gateway Pub Mildura

The food has improved ten foldmsince covid. New addition of Verde restaurant is a welcome change. Open Wednesday to Sunday. The staff are friendly and they work hard to keep up their standards l. Complimentary snacks and coffee/soft drinks offered where as other venues do not offer as much. Good job guys. Just need a few stools at the bar in Verde for those who dont do pokies but want to have a quiet drink, talk to locals as we do. Other venues in town do not.offer nearly as much with out charging.
The only kick back venue in mildura that is open till 3am. Unless u want to go clubbing!

Food was like a basic pub meal
Vegetables were made for someone without teeth.
Pretty much the only thing I can fault.

The staff are extremely helpful, The food is cooked just right, The meals are of good size and prices are reasonably priced, i couldn't recommend what meal to order as they are all realy good. I highly recommended the gateway in mildura, Thankyou to the all the staff we had a great night out. Best to book in advance as the gateway can be quite busy but well worth it.

Second grade cuts of meat, day old pre-prepared mash potatoes, frozen beans, tough pre made pizza bases. Noisy, no easy access to kids play area. A wholey unpleasant experience. Will discourage others from going there if in Mildura in the future.

We came here for an impromptu family get together. The poor design of the area we were in meant that it was very hard to hear each other, especially with the tables so close together. The food was very nice, although the wait staff had no idea which tables to serve food to.
Also, one of the bar staff seemed to be having a bad day, and perhaps should have stayed at home. I suspect some more training, and perhaps some more experienced wait and bar staff could really help this business improve its offerings.

It, s an awesome place, especially when it comes to getting the best tucker meals, drinks, and sweet desserts, as they always have particular meals on special each night too!

Good food as usual, however the tables are packed in a little tight made moving around hard without bumping into people who were already seated.

Excellent service, wonderful friendly staff, generous exceptional meals in a relaxed easy atmosphere in Verde!

Biggest rip off I have seen for a long time. Went to the bistro yesterday, got there around 12.30 pm. Asked to see the seniors meal, was told the kitchen was not working correctly. The only 2 meals we could order was Carbonarra or Lasagna. Went for the Carbonarra…. Big mistake…it arrived on a very cold plate, tasteless, cold pasta, thick and claggy, wouldn’t give it to my dog…. Certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone…. If it was me who owned the dam place I would have sacked the chef along time ago.

The Bistro at this venue is a credit to staff and management alike. Very good food, generous servings, affordable prices and excellent staff.
I recommend this place to everyone.

Visited the new Verde outdoor area at the Gateway tavern. Meal sizes were quite large and good value for money. Plenty of seating and heaters for the cool weather and staff were very attentive especially considering we had a very large group of people (about 40). Definitely worth trying.

VERDE CAFE. My wife and I waited for 45+ minutes for 2 X chicken Paninis and we got up to walk out. Marie spoke to Manager Dave and I spoke to Jacqueline and voiced our displeasure in no uncertain terms.
Dave explained to us that they had an oven breakdown, hence the delay. (Verde is a new addition to the Gateway).
Dave delivered the food and we can say honestly they are the best we have eaten.
Because of the delay Dave saw us right on the food bill.
Folks, the Paninis were beautiful.

Typical Australian Pub meals, and let's not lose it good value also has a great services great management food plenty (large meals) enjoy

Went for dinner and it sure seems popular. The service was pretty slow just because of the vast number of plates coming out of the kitchen. As a consequence my entrée and main came out together, the entrée delivered already cold and the main almost cold by the time I could get to it. Shame. The service is friendly and they never stopped for a moment, the place is a victim of the sheer weight of numbers.

Really bad service. Disappointing. Came here to watch AFL and staff were really rude. Would not put two different AFL games on one of their 10 TVs.

Big, popular, food and drink buzzing all over the place, and nice friendly staff. The kitchen seems to cope well with huge dinnertime influx of people. Lots of places to take your (noisy!) kids. Not bijou with charm, need a smaller country pub for that.

Renovations are amazing. Gets a 10 out of 10 from me. Caters for everyone. Absolutely massive area outside now which creates a brilliant atmosphere AAA+

Well I have to change my review yet again. Had to send steak back as not cooked properly.
Salad is so boring.
Waiting time for meal was ludicrous. Sat watching people receiving their meals even though we saw them ordering some time after us.
Very disappointed, don't think will return.
