THE FRENCH PROVIDORE ( FRENCH SHOP/CAFE)

This is our guilty little pleasure. I dare anyone to find a better tasting croissant anywhere. Sure you can follow others, sucked in by expensive marketing campaigns, pay top dollar for boxing and hot air…or you can try these traditional buttery delights.

Today I had a lovely almond mocha & blueberry Danish pastry DELICIOUS!

Another visit today 9/ 02 / 23 and the café is as good as before.

I visit this Cafe every Thursday after my dancing g classes to enjoy coffee or tea with delicious pantries. Highly recommend it!

Finally visited after going past several times and was interested to see what was on offer. An amazing selection of French jams, mustards, biscuits, spreads, dressings and more. Limited fresh food on display to take away, sweet pastries, croissants, baguettes, individual quiche portions and yes the obligatory snails in garlic butter but that's it, was hoping more on offer. Ordered soy latte which was excellent and brought sweet pastry for husband. Would go back for the coffee. However I wonder if the French Providore in the right location? This destination store would be at home in Church Street, Brighton or Hampton Street, Hampton so surprised to see it in Station Street and if you are familiar with the area you will know what I mean. But what must be highlighted is that the French Providore imports foie gras. The production of foie gras is banned in Australia but sadly its importation is not. 30.6 called in for coffee (soy latte) and it was delicious and accompanied by a little pastry bite.

Croissants and bread are the best in Melbourne, and it took me back to France! Served by Adam who is so lovely. I highly recommend both stores in Moorabbin and Hampton!

I recently discovered this French coffee shop. I highly recommend this coffee shop. Great food and very friendly staff.

Bravo, home-made baked croissants, pain au chocolat, delicious croque monsieur. Très bien.

Well something new for everyone.

Impromptu stop here and picked up some preserves and had lunch with latte and hot chocolate. Tres Bien.

You won't come close to the taste and quality of their baguettes, pastries, and their products anywhere else. The coffee is great and consistent each time, the owner is so friendly and passionate as well. (I might have to open a savings account to put money away into, just to spend at this cafe ha.) What a beautiful cafe. Never tasted something like the crepe I ordered and the flat white was 100% perfect.

Everything is made FRESH too!

I have yet to visit France, so if this is the quality of food and drink over there, I can’t wait to go ️

Absolutely hands down the best coffee in Moorabbin/Hampton! You also can’t go here without getting one of their fabulous pastries. The French know their pastries! Highly recommend.

Was lovely to come across this place. Very pleasant owner and staff with fresh, tasty, sweet and savoury food options. Lovely coffee and lunch choices as well. Sultry french songs in the background adds to the intimate, restful internal space.

Delicious food, best service, highly recommended! Especially my husband loves this shop’s coffee rather than somewhere else! It is a must try with other dishes.

How lucky we are to have this gem on our doorstep. The owner is a really nice passionate guy.

Such a gem in Moorabbin! This was my first visit - excellent service, excellent food and such a cosy spot!

I have ordered a few grazing boxes as gifts, and they have been so well received. Wonderful selection of cheeses and charcuterie, very generous and full boxes.

Just had the best blueberry danish I’ve ever had! Highly recommended. Will definitely be going back again in the future.

Very good coffee but my biggest shout goes to the croissants. OMG one the best I've had in Australia they really taste like home Friendly staff and wide array of traditional products, highly recommend

The best croissant anywhere are made here. You must try them! And the staff are lovely, too
