Best customer service, friendly and accommodating staff, great food and facilities. Good variety of food and very kid friendly as well when I took my family there.

I discovered this gem a couple of months ago and I am working my way through their menu. My favourite dishes so far have been The Mushroom Medley and The Baked Eggs. The food here is delicious, very flavoursome and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they use the freshest ingredients and spices. The food and coffee here is top notch and so is the service. I have always been greeted with a smile and today when leaving I was given a berry and chocolate muffin, straight out of the oven, on the house! These boys are passionate about their business and it really shows. In my opinion this is the best cafe in Hawthorn! Do yourself a favour and pay these boys a visit, you will not be disappointed!

Whether you are popping in for one of their pastry/cakes or you are after a relaxing sit down to start your weekend this is the spot!

The team here are so vibrant and friendly. Service is top notch! You can see the chefs working in the back and I caught them having a laugh which added to the overall experience.

Overall an incredibly well run cafe with such a positive atmosphere. I'd be shocked if you had a bad experience here.

I liked it, the coffee was good and they have a good selection of sweets and foods. You are going to like it. People working there are very nice and polite as well.
My only complaint is why they do not have xlarge coffee? To be fair it is not common in this area but many coffeeshops in surrounding suburbs offer xlarge or jumbo coffee. May be I am just too addicted to coffee.

I loved this place. Big breakfast is delicious, those tiny grilled mushrooms are out of this world, the tastiest mushrooms I ve ever tried in big breakfasts. The only thing is spinach, too oily. Would probably be better to just slightly blanch it. But it didn't ruin the general impression. The food was ready in 10 minutes. And the stuff was friendly. Will definitely come again

Nice and quiet little cafe with a very relaxed vibe, and staff are very attentive and lovely. I had the mushroom medley which was delicious and my friend had the chicken sandwich which was also really nice. Really generous portion sizes and food tasted amazing. Coffees were great too. Would come back!

Friendly staff invites you in. Menu is a bit different. The fare was very tasty and enough to feed you. Lamb Benny was ample and delicious. Mushroom medley was very tasty and fed me nicely. Only one small complaint is that there was only one small piece of toast for the two poached eggs. A surprise Cafe in the locality.

What I enjoyed:

Bush Lamb Sweet Potato Hash - punchy Smokey flavour pulled lamb with a bit of crunch from almonds and cashews, in between the diced carrots and cauliflower.he sweet potato hash was kind of overpowered by the strong flavours from the lamb. It could have been be a little bit more balanced, in my honest opinion. If you like strong flavours, this is the dish for you. T

Chicken & Halloumi Salad
Lighter option, yummy and so healthy with all those greens! And the halloumi makes it perfect!

I am loving their freshly squeezed juice too

Can’t wait to be back to try their other dishes!

The boys Ahmad & Karl the brothers that run the cafe make you so welcome, as if you are family. All the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. A must daily ritual!

Loved everything about this cafe, nice and cozy with a fantastic menu! The coffee was also a standout, and exactly what we needed! Favourite dish would have to be the corn and pumpkin fritters, great flavour combo and the way it was all presented is incredible.

The nourish bowl is indeed nourishing, healthy very fresh - the salad was super tasty and the chicken was incredibly tender and marinated soo soo perfectly with their secret Portuguese spices!

The mushroom toast was simply divine! Roasted in thyme and garlic the mushrooms were so soft & full of flavour including the spiced cauliflower. All the elements made this dish so delightful & enjoyable. The blueberry pancakes were the best way to finish off the meal -super flavour, light and soft with great balance of fresh fruits and ice cream! All the dishes were top notch, even the smoothies were really tasty!

Love this down to earth, friendly cafe that serve quality and tasty food! Cant wait to return!

I absolutely loved the menu, so many options that would suit all tastes and dietary requirements.
I highly recommend lamb tacos and the most delicious blueberry pancakes they were my fav. We absolutely loved the smoothies, açai bowl and lamb hash too The flavours in the lamb hash were such a great combo.

I love variety with my brunches and of recent tacos are playing a huge feature in my choices and @thefoodstorecafe definately hit the mark with these lamb tacos

Each and Every single item available in the cafe is extremely amazing. The hospitality is the best. Each and every staff member is extremely friendly and they really take care of you. Special mention to the Egg Benedict. This is the best one I have ever had. It is a must visit.

A favourite with locals, you'll definitely find something for every taste buds on the menu. Think classics such as Eggs Benedict with slow cooked beef brisket, Reuben Sandwich, Chilli Scrambled or Mushrooms on Toast. For something lighter, you can't go pass the Chicken and Halloumi Salad. Great flavours, and faultless execution, The Foodstore undeniably serves up major brunch goals, and the coffee is absolutely top notch here.
