The Fitzroy Beer Garden

Friend got pushed against the wall in smokers for being they/she. Security watched and laughed. Embarrassing in such a progressive city and LGBTQI+ community that Fitzroy is.

Always a good venue, solid pub food. Cheese Burger was great. Rare and juicy, great chips as well. Interior a bit run down and grungy but it is Fitzroy so about what you'd expect. Toilets are a bit feral though.

Fantastic service! 10/10! The bar manager was super accommodating and just an all around lovely human. All the staff were professional and the drinks were divine. I’d love to go back.

Awesome beer garden out back when out on a busy night leaves you still with a bit of room to yourself and your group to enjoy. Music could be a bit better selection of rnb but a good place for a night out.

It's starting to get into cold rainy weather and I was hanging for a dark ale to warm me up.
Good pricing though. Two does seem a bit harsh, I'll up it to 3. Would be better with a larger range of beer though.

Went recently for our yearly work party. Staff were very friendly even when the party got a bit out hand, thanks for the great hospitality!

I've had a staff party at The Fitz on March 1st and couldn't recommend enough! The food and drinks package were of great value, the area reserved for us was very spacious and well located within the venue and we had our own private bar. The service was fantastic, everyone was so nice and fun! Massive shout out to Laura and Holly who organized it all and hosted us through the night. Great experience! Thank you!

The owner or manager told me and a few other guys (only about 5 people in the line) that it would be a 30 minute wait just because we're guys and they need more women in the bar/club.

A dude in line with me asked for an explanation and the owner told him with zero empathy that this was just how he wished to run his business.

Nice little bit of discrimination as a welcome to this place.

Ordered a gluten-free grilled chicken burger, said I was coeliac and checked twice that is was gluten free but it wasn't and spent the whole night being sick. Contacted the restaurant but never heard back from the manager. Not good enough and not suitable for gluten free diets.

Perfect place for a chilled hangout -from personal catch ups to large group gatherings (Covid restrictions permitted). Good range of drinks and pub fare.chilled.

Always a great time and really friendly staff, seemed a bit overcrowded though so if you're nervous about social distancing avoid Saturday nights

The Corona-Parma & Chips is amazing value and tastes fantastic! Such a filling meal on a cold Melbourne night.

Great place for happy hour. And a catch up with a mate pint. I've seen queues on a Friday or Sat night here with a bouncer but I've never ever been there that late.

Pretty decent bar and food. Staff are always super nice. Smoking area available and good amount of seating. Can get absolutely packed during DJ sets.

Came here for trivia night with a group of work mates. Food was great and so were the drinks. Good vibrant atmosphere!

Good price beers in happy hour and good food specials through the week. Trendy place but it fills up quickly after work and develops a club vibe around 10pm
