My favorite fish n chip shop in surrounding suburbs and it's not even my closet to buy from.

The packets have remained hot even when I've been late to pick up my order.

Generous pieces of battered flake are served, and is so tasty that my cat wakes from sleeping just to come and eat a 3rd of the inner white cooked fish that I've bought for my dinner.

The oil doesn't upset my stomach afterwards like some other local fish n chip stores have.

I'll continue going there and I recommend.

Hands down the best chips around. You know how you get that really crunchy crispy chip that has a bit too much hot oil in it and you steal it before anyone sees it? Every chip is like that.

Usually good. Order early on good Friday. Burgers are worth it and never had and issue with the flake.

I've tried nearly all the fish shops in this area but this one is my favourite. As stated in the rest of the reviews the chips are awesome. Very well priced in comparison to other shops and better tasting food. My go to everytime now even though it's nearly the furthest from my house.

I have been going to the Fish Bite for years never had a bad experience. Great fish and chips and reasonably priced.

I ordered food tonight at 549pm by phone and I was told that it would be ready 25-30 minutes and did not get my food until 644pm. The chips tasted old and the food overall was not up to standard. I did not receive an apology for my food being nearly an hour late I've been coming to this shop for sixteen years and I will no longer be coming back. Atrocious service and garbage food

Got a grilled flake fish tonite for dinner & it was like a dry old gumboot! Rang the shop straight away cos they'll remember my order & I spoke to the female owner & explained the situation. She didn't want to apologise, she just said well come back & get your $6! Ah already at home Lady! I had to ask for an apology. She didn't want to give one & didn't want to take responsibility for it either saying that all the fish is fresh & she knows how to cook it but this one definitely isn't! Will not be going back there & suggest that anyone that has a complaint or suggestion not to if this is the kind of service u get! But post a review like I've done! She was quite happy giving me a dry old grilled fish to consume & couldn't wait to hang up the phone. Not good at all! Your customer service sucks Lady!

After placing my order apparently its cash only for orders under $15, no signs. We dont all carry cash these days. My order was only $11.00 granted but i didn't have cash and they wouldn't budge, they prefer no sale than than let me use my CC. I guess with cash you can hide from tax, i pay my taxes, and the fees to use the CC would not consume the profit for one lousy order. Its their businrss yes, i will never go there again and won't recommend to anyone else, just as they chose to refuse my order, i choose the feedback that fits the experience.

I only order chips, and pot cakes etc. Watching them prepare and make people burgers with no gloves and touching evey part of that buger makes me sick

My go-to fish n' chips. Great value for money compared to others close by. Certainly not the best, but can't pass up the prices.

40mins later and still waiting? It wasn't worth the wait the burger was soggy and the chips were cold and the potato cakes! Omg not good

I've been living in hillside since 2004 and have been going to this place no frills just awesome fish and chips. Tried all in the area but always come back here. Not trying to be too fancy just old school fish and chips

Been a long time customer since this place open. Tonight i ordered $5.00 chips 2 potato cakes, and a hamburger with the lot and charged me $17.00. Chips were soggy, hamburger had way too much sauce, and got very very little chips. There quality has gone down. Very disappointing.
