What makes a bar a good bar? In my humble opinion, you need unique, tasty drinks, friendly staff, and a good ambience. Fat Goat has all three. Really enjoyed my time here. Would definitely come again.

Great local craft beer spot with lots of good options on tap. Nice outdoor seating, mostly stools inside.
Use the QR code to order a tasty dinner from Upwey Pizza or Mexican from newly opened Shane on Main and it will be delivered to your table.

Good rotation of beers on tap. There were heaters outside, and we were able to order some pizzas in from another local business. Was a good night, great spot.

You need a good vibe for a Friday Night wind down. You love to have a dram or a drop or a pint. Bring your canine friends!

A great place to meet up and hang with mates. Great craft beer and gin menu! Delicious cocktails and for those not so into booze they stock a great variety of the 0.00 options. I also love the goats support for Upwey Village eateries and local community groups.

The Fat Goat is an excellent bar with great beers and ambience. I've had two birthday parties at The Fat Goat and we've been looked after very well both times.

Great place for a drink or two with friends. I just wish the bar staff knew how to make a proper Dark n Stormy.

Nice little bottleshop/bar with a great selection of craft beers. Didn't check the wine or spirits list but from what I could tell they do a fantastic job.

Great place to pull in and have a drink when the music's on. It's absolutely lovely drinks for a little bit pricey, but realistically most of them are locally sourced and high quality.

Met some friends here last night for drinks. Sat out the front.

Different variety of served alcohol, in a cosy outdoor area. This place offers trivia nights & game nights throughout the week nights. I'm told they don't serve food but you can bring food in from other local places. A great environment to catch up with friends over drinks.

Disappointed to arrive and find there was no food on offer, after having seen many photos showing prepared food. An up to date menu on the web site would help explain food is no longer available. (wasn't interested in local take away brought in). Drinks ok, expensive for the area.

Small pub, microbrewery, friendly staff, usually good music and terrific local business that supports other local business. Recommend to give it a go.

Don't go without a booking! We went on Sunday and when I tried to order some beers at the bar I was told 'we only do table service'. I have been to plenty of venues in the Covid era and this is the only one with that policy. So we went and found a table which was free. There was one nearby with a reserved sign, but not ours. The wait staff came over and as I started to try to order beers for a second time I was told 'Sorry you can't sit here there's a reservation ' I pointed out there was nothing to indicate it was reserved 'It's an internal system'. As they didn't try to accommodate us we walked out to go elsewhere. Maybe a victim of its own success, there used to be a nicer vibe.

We go here all the time and service is so efficient and welcoming.

Great staff & atmosphere. Would like to see a bigger range of beer on tap, but what they had was good.

Staff are excellent and of course the drinks are fab, could have done with a few more working outdoor heaters on a freezing night but the staff came around with blankets.which was awesome.

On a dreary winters day a shinning light! A lovely bottle of red, expressive musicians, yummy food and the obligatory dance - wonderful way to push away the winter blues, ciao Lou and Ava
