Very slow service took much too long for a ham and cheese toasty. My grandchild was eating my chicken barger as he was hungry, and everybody else had finished eating by the time he got his toasty. The food was good to eat.

First impressions where fun as we were led down a private laneway to discover a comfortable nook of a cafe. Feeling immediately at home as the host acknowledges us within seconds, setting us up with menus and a spot to call our own. Which was good as it got busy. We had the Eggs Benny x 2. Unfortunately the eggs were over cooked. So no runny golden goodness you expect to accompany the hollandaise! And we received silver beet instead of spinach, good for me but not for my partner. Nevertheless a good feed in a great spot and the bacon was spot on.

Beautiful place with beautiful food, hidden gem in the centre of port fairy. Best banana bread I ever had and toasties, coffee, location got its own vibes. TOP CLASS

What a quaint little place to have lunch. It’s up a side alley but don’t let that stop you! So glad we stopped here for lunch. We had something easy - toasties - ham, cheese and pineapple sandwiches. The people were lovely but service was a little slower but I think that was part of the charm, not harried or rushed at all which we really appreciated. It seemed quite popular with the locals and we found it adorable and the food was good, hot and tasty. We also stayed for desert and another cuppa. Would recommend you stop here.

Beautiful cafe with a real country household atmosphere. We genuinely felt like we were kids at home having Mum cook us something out of the kitchen. Staff were absolutely lovely and were great fun to talk to as they made our food.
Great spot for brekky!

Come down the lane to find great coffee, yummy food and friendly people. A spot to sit with your dog in the sunny lane.

As you walk down the lane way towards the restaurant you receive a friendly welcome by the owner. The menu was wonderful and having a coeliac husband they were accomodating and served the best breakfast. Highly recommend (Gluten Free)

Really cute little place. Staff were so friendly. Best avo on toast, the goats cheese was divine and the sour dough was so fresh and stretchy.

Had an amazing experience at Farmers Wife Cafe! Ordered the green breakfast as well as smashed avo. Amazing quality ingredients and very fairly priced. Service was 10/10 and without a doubt best scone i have ever had! Will be back:)

Perfect cup of tea! It’s a very cute little spot tucked back from the main road, with lovely staff.

Staff really friendly, food was great. We had hash browns that were the best we have tasted. Pumpkin soup good. Generous serves

Sadly we went back here for lunch today because we have had great food here before but unfortunately like other reviews here the food was very average, my egg was over done, the smashed avocado was average and the bread was a slice of white cheap bread, I ordered a scone to take away, they heated it up to serve me at the time, advised again it was for take away, when I collected it they were going to heat it again, the scone was hard and not fresh, the staff were nice but did not seem to know what they were doing. Not sure if the business has changed hands or all new staff, would not recommend it now.

Food was good except hash browns were the size of a 20c coin
Staff had no idea what they were doing or what they had and didn't have available from the menu would be a great little Cafe if the staff had a clue and were on the same page

Beautiful setting, ordered a juice and big breakfast and it was delightful.
Portions where perfect, not big, not small.
It’s hidden away from the street so a bit of peace and quiet was what we needed this morning.
Food was amazing, it was so different and the flavours were delightful. I love when the food isn’t covered in oil, and they lived up to it! My partner is a chef and even he will return!

Earful food, great coffee. English muffin was not toasted! Hollandaise from a jar. Poached eggs over cooked. Wouldn’t return to this place.

Lovely food, friendly staff, so love the decor. Only down fall was the Port Fairy drinking water.
