Good outdoor seating and general vibe. Motorcycles come screaming down the Main Street so be prepared for that. Not many birds either which is ace for my sister and dog friendly vibes.

The best Sunday roast I’ve had in Melbourne in a long time! $27 with no weekend surcharge. Winning!

The pub is very cosy and nice. The dining area looks great too.

The roast was delicious, juicy, and absolutely so generous in the proportion size!

Visited on a Wednesday night for a get together with family. Both the public bar and restaurant were busy and vibe was welcoming. Service was good, meals ordered quickly and although full we didn’t have to wait long for them. Great place to enjoy time with mates over a beer or food.

Bustling & busy Port Melbourne hub with great food, drinks, and service. Parma was excellent and the Brussel Sprouts with soy glaze delicious

Nice pub, ordered fish and chips for lunch. A good size meal without being too big. A lovely piece of white fish in light batter with seasoned HOT chips, thoroughly enjoyed it, well done guys (and girls).

Ordered a chicken Caesar salad which looked great at arrival but the old oil and grill smell really put me off. I was served old chicken mixed with some fresh ish once. I sent my salad back and the outcome was satisfying as a fresh salad was offered. I was happy until I saw most ingredients from my salad before were found again on my “freshly” made one which was covered in heaps of dressing sauce. $27? For an old salad! My stomach was tuning all night and I feel sick even writing this.

One month in and I still haven’t got an outcome for being served rotten chicken.

I will never come back to this place as the service was absolutely shocking. Came with a group of 4 for a sit down dinner and was told after placing our orders that the wait time would be close to 40 minutes due to a function upstairs. We placed our orders at 7pm and got told 15 minutes later that the Seafood Parpadelle I ordered was sold out and I had to re-order. Drinks were ordered that never arrived and my friend had to remind the staff twice but by the time the drink was received we were finished with our meals and ready to leave. The waitress who took our orders (4 x meals) came to the table twice more even after we were finished eating with new meals that did not belong to us. When I settled the bill I was originally charged for two meals including the Seafood Pasta that was sold out. I ended up paying $76 for the Barramundi (1 piece of fish and some broccolini) and 1 pint of Carlton Draught and due to not getting a receipt I can't check what I was mischarged for but it seems like I ended up paying for 2 meals anyway.

Food was delicious with friendly service however my partner was overcharged for our meal by quite a lot.
She asked to see the receipt once she had ordered so that she could check and was told she had been charged Public Holiday rates by mistake and that they would refund her the difference but then came up to us and told us we were getting a $50 food voucher and walked away leaving us a bit confused if this was in addition or instead of the refund.

Great for family dinner, they had some nice vegetarian options too! Service was a little off, the waitress seemed a bit unsure of everything.

We had booked for a table of 9 for NYE 2022. We've dined at the Exchange often, in the dining room and have always loved the venue and the food. We had confirmation on NYE that our booking was accepted but unbeknown to us they moved us from the dining room, because they DON'T accept bookings for over 8 people, which we were not told of.
We were moved to the awful bistro room that had deconstructed tables next to us, air-conditioning dripping onto our table and drinks. Extremely, extremely disappointed.

Booked for 9 people to celebrate Xmas Eve lunch with family for the 3rd year - booking made 11 October 2022. Arrived and was told that the dining area was full others had booked before me (I wish I could have been informed of this previously).
We were seated in the the bar area and were there for nearly 2 hours and not one person was in the dining area for the whole time. Food was good, drinks particular cocktails were not the best with many items not available. Sadly the dining experience was not the best for our Xmas celebration.

Lng-standing Port Melbourne pub. Good mix of crafty and mainstream beers on-tap. Decent pub grub

Extremely loud music. Can hear it streets away even with the windows shut. Can't hear myself think. Have some consideration for the people that live here. Happens regularly at night and on Sundays. Expect noise complaints everytime it happens ongoing

My partner and I held our wedding at The Exchange Hotel Port Melbourne on 15 October 2022 in the upstairs venue space. We had 31 guests (plus us) and held both our ceremony and reception here, We had a wonderful time and everything went perfectly. Sarah worked closely with us to plan every last detail and was always responsive, approachable, helpful and accommodating. On the night, the venue space looked amazing and was set out exactly was we requested. The food was AMAZING and there was a lot of it. I can't thank the Chef and kitchen staff enough. All our guests commented on how much they loved their meals. The drinks were also great. We would like to thank all the staff, particularly Sarah, for helping to make our wedding so wonderful. We very much appreciate everything you did for us.

Great atmosphere and food. The steak was beautifully finished with perfect searing and paired well with their mushroom sauce. To top it off the service from Danny was top notch. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Great feed, great drinks and even better service. I loved my server Melisa she was very kind and courteous. Couldn’t name a better establishment in Port Melbourne!

We had absolutely delicious meal at the exchange. Started with calamari, then a chicken Caesar salad and scotch fillet. It was one of the best pub meals I have ever had. And the service was great!
