Food was no good and same was with customer service. I felt laughing on my situation but the Irani Chai saved the deal as that was something which I can say was the best.

Nice to see a new local Indian eatery. Not sure about the authenticity of all the many 5 star reviews, but anyway here’s mine. Service was great, they were really helpful with helping me translate the menu but it would be helpful if the menu had a description of the curry. I found the spices in the curry amazing, lovely flavour but the consistency of the curry was very runny and not very hearty, I also ordered garlic naan but couldn’t see any garlic. I may sound unhappy with the meal but I’m not, I actually got 2 veg curries, rice and naan for just $17 such a bargain and I’ll definitely go back again at that price and for those flavours. It had an old home style Indian vibe about it.

The Event 96 beautiful name. The owner Mr Yousuf is awesome person who care about his customers. You won't get disappointed with the food taste. He cater for my function the food was excellent. You won't get that dead cheap prices anywhere in Melbourne.

This place is really good. Hand made roti is awesome. And the curry is authentic! The prices are unbelievable.

Amazing Indian food! I had Rumali Roti and chicken kadhai both are really delicious to have. The restaurant owner is really good and very friendly. I recommend everyone to try the food here!

Best Curries I've had in Melbourne, absolutely booming with flavour that is generally missing from indian restaurants! Can't recommend this place enough! Guy who runs the restaurant is a super nice guy who obviously cares about the customers. If you're on the lookout for superb food at unbelievable prices this is the place to go!

Never had such a tasty "haleem" in entire Melbourne City, I would like to tell everyone especially meat lovers that they should give a visit you would definitely love it.

The best Indian food I have had in years. The owner was so friendly; he cooked everything on his own and couldn’t have been more accommodating when we asked for extra naan (fantastic btw). And the prices are the cheapest I’ve seen in a decade. Check it out!

Food was just awesome, haleem was very good like never had before in Melbourne and place is beautiful for dinning.

First time i tried The Event 96 and loved it. Great spicy food and can have it modified if you want it no so spicy. Great verity of food to chose from at a reasonable price. Highly recommend The Event 96 as i will definitely be going back again.

This type of restaurant are to blame hyderabadi food.
I got chicken 65, Chicken biryani and goat biryani all these food were not at all authentic hyderabadi. It will be very better not to mention hyderabadi. I am born and bought up in hyderabad much familiar with taste.

Awesome food and cheap. Very happy this restaurant has popped up in our neighborhood, will definitely be back. Real deal hyderabadi cuisine so if you're not used to hot food order mild.

Great Hyderabadi home cooking! The sauces are a meal in themselves and you can really taste the spices used. (Disagree with some other reviewers - I don’t find them oily at all). I recommend Chicken Hariyali (green curry with hints of coriander) and the Korma is always a safe bet. The owners tell us they are planning more vegetarian options soon - yay!

Very surprised to have such a delicious meal of Indian. We had the Masala dosa which came with two chutneys. I totally recommend it. Also the prices were very reasonable.

Authentic, amazing food! Don't judge a book by its cover. This place has best RUMALI ROTI and delicious Mirchi Bajji you will never find anywhere in Melbourne. Try it and you'll be hooked! Apart from food the owner is very friendly and interactive. The prices are also very reasonable.
