I love eating out at Elephant Tusk. The staff are super lovely and always open to providing for dietaries. I am vegan and gluten free and they have a specific menu for these options which makes life so much better. If my partner and I are out of town and eat out at another Thai place when visiting friends and family I always feel like I'm cheating on Elephant Tusk because they are so good to us. I love the front window table which provides a little more privacy but need to book that if you eat there.

Not sure how this restaurant has gotten such high ratings… I’m wondering if we just got them on an off night or if we’ve had such good Thai in the past that we are hard to please? The mild Penang curry was not mild… more medium. Not end of the world. The rice was not very good considering it was meant to be coconut rice. So food was pretty good but we’ve had a lot better. Mainly it was the rice that let them down. Possibly an easy fix?

Tom Kha soup is a great help in rating a Thai restaurant. Here it was big but more important el dente, no sugar, as good as it gets!

Great small little restaurant in Belmont. Despite not being open on Mondays, the owner was happy to still pick up the phone and make our reservation which I was really impressed with. When we got inside the servers were quick and catered to all our needs and had a good understanding of the menu. It took a little bit to get our food but nothing out of the usual. We had a good mix of food and everyone enjoyed it and the serving sizes were just right. Would go back again

Amazing meals, great staff and super authentic tasting. Came here on a whim as we’re on holidays and felt like Thai. As our family is vegan, we ordered online from their vegan menu and were met with amazing meals all round. We got the spring rolls, satay, sweet and sour and fried rice and every dish was delicious and could not be faulted. I’d almost go as far as to say it’s the best Thai I’ve ever had! Just wow!

We love elephant tusk. Best Thai for sure! We get take out from here once a fortnight. I was a little bit disappointed that I was 15cents short for a cash payment so I had to pay an extra 50cent surcharge to use my card. Also the dishes seemed only 3/4full. Normally between 2 of is we have left overs. Not this time. ️

Geelong is so fortunate to have the best Thai food in Victoria, if not Australia. The extreme care and attention given to each dish result in exquisite tastes, especially the Pad Satay chicken and chicken or seafood Pad Thai. For example, the commitment to excellence by the young chef (Gong) is evidenced by use of coconut cream instead of coconut milk to provide that extra flavor. This is our “go to” restaurant for special occasions in addition to our biweekly visits! The service is exemplary, efficient and most courteous. I am disturbed by the one-star rating based on how hot the Pad Thai was — if notified, Gong would have immediately remade it to the customer’s liking. The remodeling of the kitchen to allow gas cooking has resulted in faster cook time and more flexibility to create truly outstanding Thai dishes!

Just finished, or tried to finish, a pad thai that was so hot it was unedible. Ordered this and red curry beef, both medium heat, thinking how hot can the pad thai be. By comparison the curry was MILD! The visible amount of chilli in the noodle was RIDICULOUS. If a Thai restaurant cannot get such a staple dish right is beyond belief. Will not return.

Thai is my favourite cuisine but there's a lot of inconsistencies about which options can be made vegan - the Elephant Tusk made it really easy with a vegan page in the menu. The roti as an entrée and pad satay as a main were so good! Definitely coming back.

Cute little restaurant, but because of its popularity it's a bit cold with people coming in to collect their meals. So if you're sitting in during winter keep that in mind, still great!

Great place to eat. We had 4 ppl go and everyone was impressed. Great service and fantastic food. Well looked after by the young Filipina who took care of our table.

Hidden gem in Belmont Square. Has a separate vegan menu with lots of options to choose from. The oyster sauce they use in the vegan dishes is indeed a vegan friendly version of the sauce. Absolutely delicious Thai food, highly recommend!
