Just Stunning with amazing views. As soon as we walked through the door it smelt Devine, fresh, clean, cosy & so inviting. We booked for 2 nights but stayed 3, easily could have spent a week we will definitely be returning very soon.

The most perfect romantic retreat with the most spectacular 180 degree views of the Ocean and Wye River. My husband and I had an exceptional stay at this lovely place run by wonderful owners who have thought of your every need in kitting out this studio house - we can't rave enough! We will be back - and compared to other international romantic retreats - this one wins hands down - worth the drive down ocean road just to stay here - try it you won't regret it. Jan & John

A truly magical place where peace and serenity await. The decor is sleek and cosy, while the view is nothing short of extraordinary. The air is fresh and there’s so many nature walks to do. Nestled in amongst the native animals and landscape, you feel like you can truly relax. The staff were wonderful and took care of all our needs. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return to this iconic haven.

What an amazing little gem The Deck House is - beautiful, private, serene and with a view that is out of this world! The sound of the waves lulling us to sleep each night was music to our ears. We felt completely relaxed and recharged when we left and cannot wait to come back! Trevor & Lisa

The deckhouse is located just on top of the surf! We have had a glorious stay, nice and cozy, very homely and clean. Surrounded by lots of wildlife and we saw pods of dolphins. Stunning views! I will highly recommend this place!

Wow, just wow! This is a very special place and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Sensational views and surrounded by amazing Aussie wildlife from Koala and Kangaroo to Cockatoo and Rosella! Clean and comfortable with all you need for a relaxing stay in any season. Fabulous!

This is the second year in a row that we’ve stayed here in January. The view is the best in Wye River and the Deckhouse is cosy, comfortable and very clean. The hosts Nick, Rima and Dave are lovely, friendly and hospitable. This is a spectacular place to stay and we have recommended it to our close friends and family. We will be back here soon.

A few things we love about this place other than the most impressive views and hosts in Wye River - fireplace, deck and Eames chairs? , bath tub with ocean views and not to mention the herb garden?

Absolutely stunning location has to be seen to be believed! We loved all the little touches of nature through the house. Hosts are very easy to communicate with. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Initially a stressful start to our 4 day break at The Deck house, leaving Melbourne in pouring rain, with forecasts of flooding & warnings to stay off the roads & stay home if possible. Was the universe trying to tell us to forgo our trip, this did cross our mind however from the moment we stepped foot into The deckhouse all stresses dissipated & we knew we were in a very special place. We had returned after 15 years & were reminded of it’s beauty & peace. Every morning we were greeted by our cockatoo & king parrot friends, truly magical. Our caretaker friends next door went above and beyond to make our stay supreme. Thank you so much Rima & Dave xxx

We had a great experience at the Deck House! Waking up to the magnificent view has been an unique experience, not mentioning taking a bath while appreciating such view. The house was more like a studio but has everything you need. The owners have been very welcoming as well!

The breath taking view and sound of the ocean is the best thing about The Deck House. Check in is late and check out early leaving you losing nearly a day of your stay and the barrage of emails and texts regarding cleaning the property before check out left my partner and I feeling very annoyed and like we were in school requiring constant reminders to put out the rubbish and do the dishes, this definitely detracts from any sense of value for money. We absolutely loved the location, incredible views, fireplace and wildlife.
