The Cremorne Hotel

Dont have a counter in the dining room if you are barely going to staff it.
The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable.
The fish still have tails and bones in them, which just feels sloppy to me. I get it looks 'fancy' and fresh, but bones are not appreciated.

Very disappointed, food was not great, my steak was to be medium but was as tough as leather, I never send meals back but this one I did.we won't be back

The staff were pleasant, the food was lovely, the general atmosphere was really good. Tell my old mate Billy, that Wardy enjoyed it. Cheers

A great place to meet up with a group of friends in a casual environment. Food is very good and the order at the bar plan allows group members to eat when they want rather than waiting on others to decide!

Great pub, surprisingly busy on a Tuesday night but food was great, venue was great, drinks were great and so were the staff. 6 meals and drinks and everyone loved them.

One of the waitresses was curt sour faced. I would even say rude. It is called the hospitality industry.

Super friendly and very accommodating. Food was lovely, and also the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. My friend made the booking and said she hit VM couple of times trying to confirm booking but never got back to us. Otherwise super lovely!

Made a booking, arrived and not greeted. Sat at a table and told after we went to staff, you’re not there so you need to move. Sat at the new table, no service for 10 minutes. We went and got kids menu. After questioning, told no service, come to bar. Waited 40 mins for meal. Roast pork disgusting. All fat. Complained to boss but was told short staffed. Not the case, plenty of staff. Never ever again. Worst dinner experience.

Ordered 2 abc schnitzels, 1 was perfect, other was badly overcooked, how does that happen? Ordered a grilled whiting which was good and a whiting in batter which was also badly overcooked.
Previous meals have been of a high standard but unfortunately this has put me off going there again.

Young male staff member who sat us down was really personable and suited his role.

We enjoyed out salt and pepper calamari but our lamb cutlets and chicken parmi were very dry and a struggle to get through.

Fantastic venue for a function - in my case, my daughter's 21st. The prices were very reasonable and the food and customer service were exceptional. Would highly recommend.

Nice pub. Great staff. Missed lunch but was offered altetnatives.
Also.loved the music on the Sunday afternoon that we popped in for a drink.
Worth the Sunday drive from Melbourne.
Will get there earlier next time to enjoy a meal and bring some friends

My partner and I came here as we were in Geelong for the weekend to watch the footy, he has been wanting to go to the cremorne for so long so we were really excited.
Disappointed is an understatement which made us sad. Being a Saturday night, we knew it would be busy so we expected a bit of a wait & we were happy to wait a little for a good feed. BUT

Booking was at 5: 30pm, we waited an hour for food then asked the waitress how much longer it would be as we have been waiting for a while. She comes out about 5 minutes later with our meals which was a parma & a steak. Chips were soggy & cold, steak was actually cooked perfectly, the coleslaw had the strangest aftertaste (fishy like), Parma was just luke warm & again soggy cold chips.

We weren’t going to say anything as I don’t like to complain, but if you’re going to have a small pub menu at least cook the food well.
After this, would sadly not recommend!

Served a veal cutlet that I couldn't cut let alone eat. Inedible. Brought it to the waiters attention only to be told the entire batch of veal was like it and I should choose something else. Waiter suggested a rump steak, then a few minutes later he came back and explained I needed to pay the $9 difference. Veal $33 steak $42. I settled on a parmi which arrived 20 mins after the others at my table had eaten their mains. I'll never eat here again!

Food was ok. Good selection of gluten free food.staff were ok. Why have keno if you can't pay people when they win.very embarrassing for you guys.very disappointed. Not coming back.

If you want to pay $28 for a frozen supermarket pizza with 6 child size slices then come here. In total it was $61 for x1 pizza x1 fries x2 cokes…. Newtown prices with cardboard quality.

Where do I start?
Walked in thru back door was greeted with a patrons dog better than the chic behind bar, not sure if she wanted to be there.
Ordered two (entree) nachos to share between 3 people.
$26 EA!
Came out with "plates are hot" from staff with zero personality.
Couldn't even see the nachos for the paddock of garnish on top!
And what's with the radish on nachos, doesn't sound like Mexican to me.
The two tiny dishes of sour cream and guacamole.
I don't know where they sourced the guac from, but I couldn't even describe the taste or lack of it.
I think it came from a jar or from Mars?
It was green but didn't taste at all like guacamole.
Don't know how you can get nachos wrong but the Cremorne pub achieved that. No wonder the place was empty.
There was two tables to serve and couldn't even take away empty plates.
Yeah, nah from us. Not worth it!

Fairly average pub food. Open kebab chicken was very dry and the fish and chips super oily. Staff friendliness could also use some work. Steak sandwich was good though.

Firstly there were few people in the room but the open wall between the bar with the lounge meant we could barely hear ourselves over the loud voices from the bar area. Secondly. We ordered 2 parmigiana's and a kids nuggets. The kid meal was fine but I was very disappointed in the parmi’s. The schnitzels were one of the worst I have ever eaten. They were very thin from being hammered out so big and they were twice as thick with crumbs than chicken. They were stale and over cooked and tasted as if they were pre-cooked and reheated, basically cardboard. Also they were chewy and very unappetizing. I ate about 30% and left the rest. Probably the worse I have ever eaten. A parmigiana doesnt need to be the size of a plate to be good. I looked for the waitress when an was leaving to complain but she was busy and there were no other staff in the room. Definitely wont be recommending anyone to go there. Have tried to ring and talk to the manager but have had no luck. Last time i rang the manager was standing next to the women that answered the phone but instead of answering they just walked out. Obviously dont care about feedback. Very unhappy.
