Definitely one of the best coffee roasters in Melbourne with excellent coffee equipment for home usage

I’ve been coming here for years. Huge selection of beans. Reasonable prices. We have a subscription (basically, 500gm of Timor Peru blend, grounded for our stovetop maker every fortnight - it’s a blend I would heartily endorse). We just added Highlands for cold brewing. That one was recommended by one of the friendly souls there. Loving it especially with the seasons warming

So disappointed. I've been buying about $10 of coffee here each week for eight years. Got told today that due to a policy of a 200g minimum order, I couldn't buy 300g of coffee split into 200g of one kind and 100g of another. Never mind the fact that I'm reusing old bags so packaging can't be an issue, and never mind the fact that I've been buying coffee this way for months and other staff have had the decency to fill the order like that. It's just so unbelievably and necessarily petty. If the issue is packaging, I can understand that, but I wasn't asking you to use any new packaging. If the issue was the value of a customer making only a small purchase, I guess I can understand that but my total order was more than your minimum. I'm so put off I'll go and buy my coffee online and elsewhere in future. If you see sense on this, let me know and I'll come back.

Reliable and knowledgeable staff. Spend the time and ask about the beans taste profile and make a record of what you bought for future reference. The Coffee company is a micro roaster with many many offers.

Great place for freshly roasted, quality beans that remain good value. A wide range of tea, chocolate and coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. The smell of coffee was amazing. I bought a pack of coffee and put it in my car, I could feel the good smell. Highly recommended. I’ll go back there definitely

I always buy my ground coffee here. Prices have only just gone up but are still good. Great choice of beans & offer organic & rainforest allegiance options too.

The food is really good, and if you make good friends with the owner, for a short period of time, he will deliver free coffee to your house, hand-delivered!

Have been buying from them for over 4yrs now and they are pretty much perfect.

* Their coffees are top-notch with a huge range and perfect roasting
* Their prices unmatched by a long way (when I first found them they were almost half the price of other quality providers I could find and have hardly raised prices in that time)
* Their service is fantastic - fast shipping and quick to respond to any queries or issues

I have never had a problem in 4yrs until last week when I accidentally got sent a couple of wrong bags in my order (the first error in all that time) and they replied immediately (on a Saturday) offering a refund or resending the incorrect bags at their own cost immediately. They were happy to do whatever I preferred and actioned within hours of my response. Couldn't really ask for more.

Always efficient. Always smelling wonderful. Always obliging. I wish I could drink coffee but my friends that do are very satisfied.

As a rural customer, I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting in person but have been an online customer for quite a few years. The range of coffees and the value for money are beyond belief. Have just discovered our new favourite, Cafe Super. Keep up the great work and service.

Good knowledge and big choice of beans. Most staff (not all) v keen to find what works for you. I keep going back. Oh and acceptably priced for fresh ground coffee

Great place to get coffee freshly roasted on site and freshly ground for you. Fab selection of rainforest alliance selections and single origin beans too.

Good coffee and staff, miles better than supermarket coffee at around the same price. Only request would be to get some premium beans available for purchase, 1 or 2 would suffice. The Sumatran Mandheling has been excellent

If you are hunting for some fine coffee then this is the place to go, I drive almost an hour to here to get an incredible chose of Coffee and is the place to continue to buy coffee from. Few places sell variety of coffee beans, one in Lilydale that I had been buying from there for 8 years which is little nice cafe with 12 different world beans.
Still The Coffee Company is the place where to get great service and questions answered from great workers there

Revised still 5* review: rapt to see that Coffee Company has reopened for shop sales after it had only online sales due to Corona Virus. We are regular customers and enjoy the sights and sounds of this great store as well as the heavenly aroma of coffee roasting right there in the front of the shop. They are now set up for in-store purchasing with Perspex screens up on all counters, queuing systems, hand sanitizer etc. The in house Café at the back of the shop is understandably still closed. Fantastic to see you guys open again!

Original 5* review: Been buying coffee here for close to 20 years now. Even though it's about 15 km from us and inconvenient to go there we come back every couple of months to buy fresh coffee beans. The roaster is in the front of the store and when they are roasting the aromas are incredible. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the prices are very reasonable, cheaper than other boutique roasters. I love the variety to choose from, they must have at least 50 different types, single origin, blends, decaffeinated and flavoured beans available. We have about 7 or 8 favorites which we buy in smaller quantities, around 200gms of each variety and the staff happily accommodate. There is a large range of teas as well, coffee machines and gadgets, and a large selection of gourmet chocolates and sweets. The back of the store has a small Café with cakes and biscuits where you can try their coffees. Parking in the area can be difficult as there isn't a lot and it's a very busy shopping precinct. We park at the small carpark in the back of the store, they have a rear entrance.

They have a wide variety of coffee options there. The staff are very friendly and patiently answer all your coffee related questions and suggest you various beans and blends based on your needs. I personally love their dark roast blends, particularly the "kickstarter coffee".
