The Chutney Bar reviews
32 When I went there on a Wednesday night at 8pm, it was fully booked, so I ordered takeout!
The combination of butter chicken curry and cheese garlic naan was absolutely delicious!
The butter chicken curry was not too sweet and the chicken was soft and delicious!
The mango lassi is also rich and delicious, so be sure to order it!
The portions are quite large, so for two women with small appetites, one curry and one naan will be enough.
Food is delicious, friendly and efficient staff. Good choices on the menu.
Highly recommend
Compact cosy dining. The place itself presents very average.
Food looked good and I thought they tasted like most other Indian restaurants as well. However not too salty, which I liked most.
I thought the place were very pricey! $20 for even just a veggie dish or $9 for rice. Not the best value for money. Plus average set up was not inviting. That's why 3 stars.
We would not be trying again. Nonetheless, if you are in town and don't mind spending the money in a tight space, it might be a place for you.
The Birmingham Bolti curry is delicious, also the naans and coconut rice are great. Would definitely go back
Nice! And fresh food. Always tastes pretty good. A favourite ordering place whenever we are in Inverloch.
This restaurant food is great. Try their saag paneer and salted lassi.
Ashish and his team members are great. If you are in Inverloch you must try this place.
Very disappointing experience though we didnt have foodm from here, but experience is enough to avoid further.
If there was long wait time (more than an hour), they should let us know before we start looking at their menu, rather at the time of ordering.
I dont think they have any corteousy and value about customers time.
Also the language was bit rude, pretty he was conveying us leave because of the wait time and we have to leave.
Please plan couple of hours ahead before visiting here, have some snack before going there, so that you dint have to starve.
On top of all this it is more expensive than Melbourne!
Food was descent. Bit on the pricey side but you understand the seasonal cash flow. On the drinks side, don’t know how it’s tenable to be charging 15$ for a Jim beam basic
I have gone here quite often over the years an always loved the food and staff. I always accidentally over order and I've never been unhappy.
Excellent authentic North Indian food, friendly and prompt service tucked away in Inverloch. Will definitely come back on my next visit.
We ordered home delivery and we were so impressed. Standouts from our meal were the samosas, dal makhani and the naan. The lamb in our biryani was quite tender too! Flavour packed, very satisfying, and very, very generous serving sizes! Estimated delivery time was accurate and the driver was very friendly. Would order from again.
Our chicken saag and aloo gobi were both super flavoursome and paired beautifully with soft, flaky garlic roti. Great dinner option in Inverloch, will be back.
Very very very very very very very disappointing can not describe how disappointing it was. Butter chicken must have had half a kilo of sugar in it and the beef vindaloo was 10 times tangier then it should have been. No.communication between entree and main waited 50 minutes finally went and asked and they explained.
Rang and booked a table for two and heard nothing. So rang to confirm booking and was told they were booked out. Extremely lax service, the staff member promply hung up. The menu also lists items not offered, you would think Lassi would be a mainstay, or aloo paratha, advertised but not offered.suggest you go to Divas if you want better quality food with excellent friendly staff.
Food was amazing. Ordered a lot of food and it was ready super quick. Should have taken a bit longer. But the food tasted great.
Customer service could have been a bit better. Not that the staff were rude, but the person behind the counter was more interested in their phone.
The food was generally quite good. Although we made a booking they basically told us we only had one hour before their other bookings come in. And in one hour half the restaurant was still empty. The service was extremely poor given their attitude towards us when we are paying customers
Update to my below post.
Still great food, but pricing is far too high (even after adding a covid loading).
Pity.

2020 This is some of the best Indian I/ we have tasted in a long while. We are a family of 5. Appetizers are expensive for size but tastey. We ate in and had takeaway on 2 occasions. Restaurant is nothing special, service was a little over the place, but it was peek holiday season. All up, i/ we would go again.
Excellent food /- fresh, authentic and delicious. If we are back this way again will go back - the whole family loved it.
Starters were nice but the main curry dishes lacked flavour, they were more like a stew with a very mild hint of spice.
We had Ghosht Sagwala, Chicken Biryani, Garlic Nann and Oniom Bhaji. All delicious dishes. Definitely eat here again.
