What a wonderful place!

The staff are so lovely and friendly. Service was excellent.

The actual cafe is modern and cosy with a good community feel as the staff were on a first name basis with customers.

The food was outstanding and the coffee was really well made.
Looks like I've just found my new local cafe to frequent

Very friendly, competent staff. Food was delicious. Check drink sizes before ordering as large is not the same as most other places. 90deg parking can get a little hectic when there's traffic. Beware there are very few u-turn options if you continue down the road so exit your desired direction if you don't intend to head further SE. Better to walk/ride to.

The environment is comfortable, the mural is very special, the owner is very friendly, I just passed by and packed coffee and hot chocolate, all delicious!

We had lunch, and the service was great! I really want to try there vanilla slice, I hear it's the next best thing to vanilla slice (hehe). 4 stars only because our chips weren't cook enough, still edible. Coming back for the vanilla slice!

My friends liked the coffee but it wasn't strong enough for me although the coffee looked good but the coffee in the city us more tasty and flavoured. We've ordered cappuccino and moka, I'll give it 4 starts since they liked the coffee but I didn't, maybe the milk was light, I don't know. The place seems to be q nice though with a beautiful garden next to it.

I’m Not sure what was worse, the watery coffee or having to endure the constant squabbling from the owners while drinking it. Will

Came here to check out the famous vanilla slice. WOW! I'd love to see all the "best vanilla slice" venues take on The Chocolate Dragonfly. Most would be sent packing. Brilliant richness, quality ingredients and flavour, JUST SO good. Come for the slice and stay for the delicious coffee, super friendly welcoming staff and great service. A local business that everyone needs in their neighbourhood, and well deserving of support.

A great little Cafe in The Basin shopping strip. Got lots of take away coffees from there last year during lockdown and have been for a couple of light meals since. Great staff, good food and fairly average prices for Cafe food makes this a great spot to stop at if you live in the area like us or are spending a day in the Dandenongs!

Service was great, coffee was great, food average. Both my partner and I felt crook afterwards. I think those kranskys were on the way out. Best chuck them in the bin

Quickest service and best tasting coffee in the basin. These guys have hospitality pace and u never wait on ur takeaway coffee.

A quick drop in for a hot chocolate after visiting the Dandenong Botanical Gardens on a cold and rainy day. The hot chocolate was delicious and the service was quick and friendly.

What's with all these one star reviews? There's nothing wrong with the food or service from my experience. I'm a Chicken Parmigiana fan, and their Chicken Parmigiana is one of the best that I've had!

Newly decorated furniture upgrade, neat, tidy, clean excellent service friendly staff. Family run business. Great food

Reasonably priced food. Coffee can do a bit better. Mine was burnt. Not happy. Maybe next time you will pay more attention to get it right.

Love my hot chocolate most days but today did the everything burger and chips! Fantastic meal and so well priced. Happy to support the lovely people in this shop.

I love the dragonfly because when my poppy died they people at the dragonfly made big platters for food for our whole family. They were really kind to us and helped us cope with our awful sadness.
When I go there with my nanny they are always kind, helpful and speak so nicely to us. They always make my nan happy with the best coffee in the basin areas.

Family business. Good food (vanilla slice) but my LF coffee. I was deconstructed, tasteless, like diluted water. Please improve the quality of milk or use a good nutmilk.
