The Cheesecake Shop Mitcham

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with this store, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Despite reading some negative reviews, my encounters were nothing short of fantastic. When I called to enquire about Christmas decorations on cakes, Rachel went above and beyond to assist me.

During my second call, I was unwell with COVID, making it impossible to place my order in person. The staff, however, greeted me warmly and accommodated my needs with a friendly manner. The pickup experience was equally pleasant, with the four beautifully decorated cakes exceeding my expectations. To top it off, Rachel and another team member voluntarily helped carry the cakes to my car without even being asked. Outstanding service and a truly delightful experience overall.

I was unhappy with lettering on custom plaque & when I politely queried the size the owner came out & snapped at me then walked outside muttering sourly / very poor customer service - won’t come back to this particular store again.

Picked a cake from the display and was packed a different cake. I specifically requested for displayed cake and the young unfriendly girl came back twice with another cake from the back kitchen that looks like been frozen before. I had a great experience from Cheesecake Shop Boxhill South and was expecting the same from Mitcham. I walked out and drove to Cheesecake Boxhill South where I know I will get fresh cake, wider variety, cleaner premise and friendlier service.

Please save yourself from all these inconvenience and just straight to Cheesecake Boxhill.

I came into this store 15mins before closing time and wanted to purchase two half cakes. The young girl serving me said that she can no longer do half and half as she had already cleaned and packed up for the day. I said that it wasn’t close time yet why can’t you offer me a service that is clearly still within opening hours, otherwise I was to go elsewhere and she would lose business. Reluctantly, she huffed, was rude and said ok I will do this one time as if I was a burden to her when this is a store that is open and it is her job.

Going by previous reviews of this store they are known for terrible customer service. It’s unfortunate for them as the Cheesecake Shop have such a long standing reputation of great easy to purchase, delicious cakes, but this Mitcham store has not done it service and they have lost business from me. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

Possibly the rudest woman I have ever dealt with. Went elsewhere.

Saw the cakes yesterday, they looked very stale, 5 or 6 of them were melting and collapsing. The designer I spoke to today was very disinterested in doing a custom cake told me curtly that we are very understaffed atm, when the manager told me last week that they could do the custom tall cakes easily.

Absolutely appalling customer service via phone. I phoned to ask how to go about booking a birthday cake the lady I spoke to 'Rebecca' was so dismissive and treated me like an absolute I'd! OT! She asked if I wanted personalised or not and I asked what kind of personalisation.just the plaque or can I add other things like a theme etc. I ended this call and advised Rebecca that her attitude and service was horrible and that I will go to another store.

As a first time mum calling mitcham cheesecake shhop to organise my sons 1st birthday cake was a horrible expieirience. I don't recommend calling this shop as you will simply be made to feel stupid. I'm not the cake maker Rebecca you are or at least you represent them so sorry I didn't know that what YOU meant as personalisation was just the plaque and sorry I didn't know the cake I chose was 'standard' and baked daily therefore don't need to book unless it's 'personalised'
Don't answer the phones get someone else that is helpful and kind so you don't lose business like you have with me. As it would of been at least 3 cales a year moving forward. Thanks and bye!

Shout out to Rebecca for bringing my vision to reality with a custom made - Jimmy Choo cake. The chocolate mud cake was super moist & delicious!

SO disappointing that Cheesecake Shop Mitcham would not make a cake decoration for my sister's birthday cake.she has a restricted diet and is unable to eat a 'normal' cake. I just wanted a Happy Birthday plaque to put on her special cake. THANKS TO Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses - Eastland for being so friendly and obliging.

This is less a criticism of Mitcham Store but rather the changed franchise recipe - NOTE: I have been frequenting since 2015.
I was made aware in Dec 2021 that the recipes had changed (2 noteworthy mentions were a switch to ricotta and the use of pre-made bases).
I have given it a go 3 times now (Marble Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Passion Fruit Cheesecake) and I just don't like the changed recipe.
I wont be buying Cheesecake from the Cheesecake shop again until the crumble base is returned to baked cheesecakes and the recipe changed back (it tastes far too sweet and the texture is too soft compared with how it was).

Look if possible I'd review the head cheesecake factory. What on earth have they done to the original recipes, search cheesecake shop reviews online and they have plumerted down in ratings.won't be coming back until the recipes return to what they used to be! Bring back the Jamaican Cheesecake! The "new" version was put in the bin after one bite!

Ordered the tiramisu cake for my child's birthday, but was very disapointed. Cake was blunt, very little cream if at all and mostly cake base. To be honest I have bought cakes from Leo supermarket that are of superior quality. Will not order again.

Was picking up and item but the store assistance said we have plenty and could pickup with the cake.
Just now when I picked up the cake the other item was sold out.
Please have enough stock or do not tell us that you have enough stock.
This upsets us very much because it is someone’s birthday.

This is the first time i order online the cake for a birthday. I order the black forest torte. Everything is smooth, but at the end, i found out that i got the old cake. Originally, the expired date of the cake is 11/6. But the lady in the shop put another stamp of 16/6. I did not come back, but feel very disappointed. The quality of the cake is very far behind. I don't think I would come back.

Just made a phone call asking the range of their cake today, the man over the phone sounded EXTREMLY RUDE! I can understand during such difficult time it can be hard for businesses but the way YOU throw YOUR ATTITUDE at the customer.this shop deserves no customer at all!

Just bought 2 half cakes. Absolutely friendly customer service. Strawberry Cheesecake and a Jamaican Chocolate Cheesecake, both look spectacular and I’m sure the taste will equals the
look! I’ve shopped here many times before and always have a great experience

Very happy with this shop. I read the reviews and so got an entire mango passion fruit cheesecake and it was so delicious and light, simply heavenly. Kids and adults, everyone loved it! Beautiful finish as well.
Daughter got a quarter of a strawberry cheesecake and that was very tasty as well given that not much was left soon after.
The service was speedy and very friendly with a young girl serving us. So, we will definitely be back for another of these treats!

High minimum eftpos charge. ($9.95) making it pointless to try and buy something small like a single slice.
Also the staff member left into the back room instead of addressing me waiting at the counter after she served the person before me.

Enjoy purchasing cakes here. Friendly service and great selection. All cakes are baked on the premises.my kids and I love their cheesecake selection.
