The Central Hotel reviews
38Came in at 9: 45 pm to play a couple of games of pool before they shut and got told we could not order any drinks as they have closed the bar 10pm
First time here. Staff are bloody brilliant. Old ladie serving us food was a laugh. God bless her. Security and everyone easy to talk to. Come down have a bloody beer
On Holiday in Australia (from Los Angeles USA) On a sightseeing road trip from Melbourne to Sydney (via the coast) The hotel we are staying in recommend The Central Hotel for dinner. The restaurant menu had many appealing choices (they additionally had nightly specials) Our selections (scotch sirloin and pork belly), were excellent. They also offer a full service bar adjacent to the dining room.
Very well laid out pub. Clean and tidy with a great menu at reasonable prices. Separate bar to the bistro. Wheelchair access and toilets. Definitely recommend for a family lunch/dinner or a bite on your own.
I was disappointed that there wasn't a better selection of meals. Need something other then burgers & snitzels.
My snitzel was burnt on the bottom, the hamburger had no flavour & there was too much sauce on the burger & salad.
We come in for a quiet meal, instead we had to have dinner while there was a trivia night going on around us.
Great place to celebrate a grand final win. Delicious food, great cold beer. Get around them. Go you beacy masters! Premiers 2019.
Great Staff who are friendly & accommodating, there is a MASSIVE NEED FOR MORE TOILETS AT THIS PLACE! A good place to have a meal & after 9pm to get your dancing shoes on & dance the night away with a local DJ, good vibes for a younger crowd, all round a alright place to go out with a few friends
Amazing dinner and selection of dessert. Love the way you come around with the dessert tray for you to choose one
What.a. Dive! Bar chicks can’t pour a drink for the life of them, bad service.clearly gotta be a regular to count! Give it a miss if you’re a newbie.
It was ok. Lots of drunk kids. Bouncers looked like they were walking on glass. Which they probs do at the end of the night.
Really enjoyed my burger and beer. Security tight but polite and friendly. Bistro staff also friendly and helpful. The premises are well used but adequate. Personally I don't agree with a previous review about a facelift. There's enough anodyne and characterless pleases around.
The food was nice didnt recieve what i ordered but thats okay they werent busy at all. My first impression was that the floors were very sticky i think this is the place to get takeaway more than to enjoy a meal with someone. Little pricy. Staff were nice when i could finally find them. Seemed extremely laid back.
I booked the Funtion Room for my 65 Birthday. Great old room / wooden floor / fireplace / its own bar with dedicated barman. Intergrated sound system - plugged my Ipad music into. The Staff were really friendly very helpful the set up lay out of tables n chairs to suit my guest list was spot on. Everyone who attended had nothing but good comments about the Meals. Very Impressed. Great Pub.
A decent little place. Limited beer on tap options. A bit tired looking. Has a burger meal option 'Sneaky Cheese' which is pretty good. No traditional pub meal options. Can get stupidly busy at times, especially Friday arvo around Christmas time. Heaps of tradies, a bit hectic. Not pleasant at these times at all.
Very average burgers, limited range of foods if you don't want a burger. If you're going to specialize in one partic4thing at least mak3it tasty. Only 1 vegetarian option.
The local pub which is very casual a lot of people go there after work in their work clothes so there is no real dress code there is also a what they call a beer garden so that you can drink and smoke outside no cocktails and no shots available that was 2 months ago it may have changed
Good on these guys for doing the Farmer parma, $25 bucks with $5 from every one sold going to the farmers. There was a long delay in getting our meals as they were under the pump with parmas, but well worth the wait. One of the best parmas ever!
