The Cally

Have been here a few times while travelling. Always a good pub experience. Tonight, I had the duck risotto. Awesome. Too much for me to finish, but a great feed. Never had a bad meal here.

Bad customer service. Unfriendly staff and not even helpful. Stayed there for one week. From check in and check out the staff (male) did not even give a welcoming and friendly vibe, not even a smile and a help with the luggage since there was a flight of stairs going to the room. I thought maybe they are not used to guests like me that stay there for more than a couple of days. Upon check out same unfriendly attitude, no help, no smile, no small chat on how was my stay they just took the keys and walked away. Maybe there were relieved that the asian guy is leaving their place.

The room is a typical hotel with a pub. Funny bit is the basin mirror which was fit for someone 6 feet and up. The closet drawer was not working and had some left over bottles from the last hotel guest.

Back to the not so amiable staff, I only learned upon check out that they have vouchers for hotel guests for the pub. Would have been nice if they told me about it.

Great place to eat! Prices very fair, food was delicious with generous portions, fast and friendly service! Highly recommend

The outdoor area has music playing which was great. It was a wet night but not at all cold out there as it had sliding doors to close it off.
Dinner was amazing, we had aranchi balls, parmy and kiev. All amazing. We had a great night and will be back.

The facility looked a bit antique yet neat, tidy and above all no bad odours. Room was plain, only towels and soap bars provided, no face washer; beds were half prepared; one chair, no table. The WORST of all, the fridge was so stinky with a rotted quinoa salad box inside. Took a bit of time and half a wipe pouch to make it ready for my kids' milk and food. All rooms are up stair with no help with bringing up suitcases. Loud noise till late from the ground floor pub. Not recommended for families with young children.

Amazing staff, the quality of the food is top class excellent range of drinks. Would highly recommend The Cally to everyone.

As an update to my comments Lucas has since reached out and provided our son with the refund of the balance taken and for which he is grateful. I would give 5 stars but took one off due to the lengths that we had to go through to get the refund. But credit is due to Lucas' decision to make the call and rectify the situation. Thank you!

By far the best value and customer service. The rooms where basic but clean. For the price it is a 5 star. The customer service at the bar was beyond amazing.

I can not recommend the Cally any more for a high quality low cost night in Warnnamboll

Great place, stayed here for four nights, they have a code to get into the womens bathroom (specifically so creepy men can’t get in there) which I think is a great idea and I love that they’re protecting women, the bed was very comfy, no cutlery or room service, which I don’t really mind.the staff are super nice and the food is amazing!

The server that served us was awesome! He was friendly and very helpful with our selections. The food was good too. The prawns and oysters were fresh. The prices were a bit steep but we feel we got what we paid for

A fabulous venue for our 21st function. Lucas and they team made the event planning so easy. Great range of drinks and nibbles. Lots of fun.

A local staple of Warrnambool.

There is enough to cater, from the locals who want a drink, feed & place a bet to the out-of-towners who want a place to stay & mix with the populace.

They open early and close late, so for those who want to experience what Warrnambool has to offer.make a stop at The Cally.

Clean rooms. Shared showers n toilets but that wasn't a drama for me. Pub has good meals n fair priced drinks.

All good except for the sweets, had golden syrup dumpling, worst food I've ever tasted, was cold dry and tastless, everything else was ok️

Live music night on Saturdays, can hear it when sleeping. However, not bad at all for the price and amazing service.

This Classic Aussie Country has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious meals, beautiful presentation, wide range of local beers and local wine list with wonderful desserts. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Ducked in for a quick beer and a pizza after the Melbourne to Warrnambool bike race this year.

Staff friendly and able to help. Food was good and filling for the price. Toilets and location clean. Seating well appointed, lots of options and comfortable.

Obviously improve during Covid to make their place safer and yet more interesting and inviting.

Awesome place to stay. Cheap accommodation, clean rooms, clean bathroom facilities too.
Friendly staff, fair bar prices, good location. The food is great as well.
Highly recommend staying there if you happen to be in Warrnambool for any reason, everything is within walking distance.
Thanks Lucas and staff for another great weekend. Will always come back here.
