The Cagliero Project

I lived and worked in Timor-Leste for six months in 2019. I had an honestly incredible experience teaching and learning from young students and leaders. I was able to develop rich and personal connections with my students and engage in every facet of their life, whilst gaining stunning insights and access to their culture and history. The Cagliero Project respects the autonomy and values of the host communities and works to support the development of local leaders. This experience has motivated me to work more closely with young people both in Australia and with my connections from the program.

The Cagliero Project is an amazing organisation founded and ran by amazing people! Whether going on immersion or being a long-term volunteer you become part of a beautiful family. This is an organisation that is truly making a great impact on the world! Can highly recommend and am extremely grateful to have experienced an immersion myself. Life-changing.

I am so so grateful for my experiences volunteering with The Cagliero Project. I went on 2 short term immersions to Samoa, a short term immersion to Cambodia and spent six months volunteering in the Solomons. The support from Lauren and the whole team was phenomenal.
