The Butcher Club Hoppers Crossing

Swore I would never shop here again after buying some Cracked Parmesan chicken schnitzels from here a few years back and they tasted off. Went back recently and shame on me! Got some snapper fillets, they were not cleaned properly (still had some scales) and smelt old. I cooked them and then did not eat.

If you want fresh meat you can trust just go to woolys or coles lol
Go to South Melb Market for the freshest fish

Asked for 2.5kg of wingettes/drumettes. Got home to find 3 wingettes in the whole lot. Won’t return to this store, I’ll head to the plaza instead.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Wish I had read these reviews before I shopped here! This is at my local shops and I've seen people there so thought it would be okay. Just like others who have reviewed this place I bought some fish, brought it straight home and it smelt.not that great. Cooked it and it is definitely off! Dodgy dodgy dodgy

If I could give zero I would. I bought some fish (orange roughy) and when I got home (10 mins later) the fish was uncookable as the smell was horrific.

That's not even the worst part, I returned the fish to the shop but was called a liar and turned back as I didn't have a receipt.

I have bought meat from her before which was mediocre but the seafood is just out of the world bad! This place really needs to be checked by a health inspector. I will never shop here again and hope for everyone's health that people will stay away.

Bought the marbled beef which was in an air tight bag open it up and the meat had white watery substance which looks like flour when you mix with water. Just doesn't look right won't be buying that again.

I bought a piece of salmon yesterday. Opened today and obviously not fresh. Second time for me, will not be returning.

I bought goat curry on Sunday 15 Nov and I took nearly 2 kilos of goat curry but it was not a quality and fresh meat. I put all meat in my refrigerator immediately when I came back to home after 2 minutes on drive.and When I try to cook meat same day and took out from refrigerator it was smelly and some of them are bit black as well. Later on, I threw everything. I tried to get it back but i don't have bill, i didn't take bill because this is the first time I bought meat from there and expect the quality from butcher club and it's brand name. I will never back again. Same day, I bought the meat from coles and put in the same refrigerator it was fresh. 0 star the quality and freshness of meat.

Best butcher in hoppers crossing. The place is spotless, great cuts of meat and friendly knowledgeable staff. Will be back 100%

Do not go here, especially if your a young woman with not much knowledge on cuts.my girlfriends and i had started going to this butcher as its close to our gym. On 3 occasions they blatantly over charged me.by $11.00 - $9.00 - $17.00.i thought it was me and didn't question anything until my girlfriend noticed we were both being over charged continuously.conveniently when my partner goes he is always charged correctly.the man in-charge is extremely rude and they know how to play women with not much experience purchasing meat cuts.so while at hoppers just go to coles is my advice. Or i just tried onlinebutchersmelbourne and they are amazing

Bought 1.4kg of Maryland chicken ($7.99 per kg) and requested to take skin off and cut into pieces. I was charged $17.99 per kg without explanation or my consent. When I checked the invoice and realised the rate charged, I questioned. I was told "Do you want it or not? ". My obvious answer. NO.and I got my refund, without any apology.
Altogether a bad experience.never again here. Good luck to surviving in these times with such customer service.

Terrible experience. 4 staff 1 other customer, I walked in and waited a good 5 minutes while 2 of the staff members were flicking through their phones. Another staff member who was loading felt embarrassed and reminded the staff to serve me. The lady rudely replied to him "can't you see I'm trying my best to ignore customers right now? ". And the two kept chatting away.

Why would anyone spend money Into a business that doesn't care for their customers? My little time I spent there the fishery looked badly kept and the meat stock was pretty standard.nothing fantastic

I bought 3 Rainbow-trout and later when I got home I noticed the fish smelt like rotten and yes turns out it was rotten and it smelled. I don't recommend this butcher shop to anyone. Learn from my mistake. This shop doesn't know the meaning of fresh.

Ordered schnitizels. The meat was brought from out the back and not from the display cabinet. I ended up with about two thirds schnitizels and the rest was some tough thick meat. You won't be seeing me again.

Butchers Club in Chadstone was a spreader event for Covid-19 but Hoppers Crossing staff aren't following directions or the law. Really disappointing.

I will not shop with you ever again. As fishmongers you would have an intimate knowledge of the freshness and quality of your product. Flathead purchased Tuesday was at best old and stale, fell apart at initial stage of cooking and was fed to our dogs. You should be ashamed to present such sub standard fish and promote it as freshly sourced. Great idea to have your customers stand away from the counters, that way they cannot smell the product before it is wrapped and paid for.

Cooking up 1 kilo of it now and have already taken out just under 1 cup of water with plenty more in the pan (pic is with water already taken out) that and the fact that you guys over charged me $10 for my Maryland’s and mince!
